@biophil: :-) I thought about it a few times. But dagabs0 was just growing too fast and there was no way I could have taken on all three of my neighbours and grown fast enough to hold the borders. Didn't want to risk Mexico rolling through Heartland and wiping the map, which since Peru was clearly in no mood to stab, was a definite risk...
