You are visiting a strange country in which there are just two kinds of people - truthtellers and liars. Truthtellers always tell the truth and liars always lie. You hail the first two people you meet and say, "Are you truthtellers or liars?" The first person mumbles something you can't hear. The second says, "He says he is a truthteller. He is a truthteller and so am I." Can you trust the directions that these two may give you? |

18 Dec 15 UTC | Autumn, 2000: [Near-East]:Puzzle #2 The caravan of a wealthy desert dweller is approaching an oasis after a long, hot day. He says to two of his lieutenant, "To the one of you whose horse gets to the oasis last, I’ll give this camel laden with gold." Immediately they both stop. By the time the rear guard of the caravan reaches the two lieutenants, they have dismounted their horses and each is waiting on the sand for the other to become so hot and thirsty that getting to the oasis cannot be resisted. Finally, they tell the guard their dilemma and ask for help. He says two words to them, whereupon the lieutenants jump onto the horses and race toward the oasis. What did the guard tell them? |
20 Dec 15 UTC | Spring, 2001: GameMaster: AoENinja was banned: multi/meta. The time until the next phase has been extended by one phase length to give an opportunity to replace the player. Remember to finalize your orders if you don't want to wait, so the game isn't held up unnecessarily! |
20 Dec 15 UTC | Spring, 2001: GameMaster: yo mamma was banned: multi/meta/no reply. |
20 Dec 15 UTC | Spring, 2001: [Near-East]:USA and West Canada! I guess that explains why USA never talked to me. Atleast it isn't my theater. Good luck Quebec, of no replacements you might be in trouble. |
20 Dec 15 UTC | Spring, 2001: [Pacific-Russia]:The yo mamma player was south Africa in one of my other games but lucky I was kenya and killed him off first |
