13 Oct 15 UTC Autumn, 1913: Once more into the breach everyone. same orders.
13 Oct 15 UTC Autumn, 1913: Yeah. Same song and dance
13 Oct 15 UTC Autumn, 1913: If he does not give a draw we can not force him... But if we throw the kitchen sink at him can we break thru?
13 Oct 15 UTC Autumn, 1913: Just keep submitting the defensive moves. Any alteration in moves in trying to break through creates an opportunity for him to break the defenses as well. If it really gets out of hand, I think a webdiplomacy moderator can intervene.
13 Oct 15 UTC Autumn, 1913: Yeah, Russia is right France, I've been looking for a way to get through, but we'd have to discuss it, and then he can counter it.
13 Oct 15 UTC Autumn, 1913: What would a mod due? I have never seen this actually play out with a mod intervention. Would they force a draw or cancel? Or will they force us to fight?
13 Oct 15 UTC Autumn, 1913: The mods won't do anything. T is playing according to the rules. Annoying, but nothing they can do. I think T is hoping one of you will die in the next 20 years and he'll catch a break.
13 Oct 15 UTC Autumn, 1913: Well, in tournaments, moderators can force a draw in situations where the stalemate line is demonstrated for a few years I think. No reason they couldn't here.
13 Oct 15 UTC Autumn, 1913: Well... I am 23. I got some time ahead. Let's go
13 Oct 15 UTC Spring, 1914: Welcome to the official First World War, everyone. Except the lines are drawn ever so slightly differently, but who cares?
13 Oct 15 UTC Spring, 1914: Not really... Germany and France working together? Vs an Ottoman Empire that would end up being split not ruling the Europe as we know it
13 Oct 15 UTC Spring, 1914: At this rate the game year will progress to the Second World War and the cold war
13 Oct 15 UTC Spring, 1914: Irony being if this were a points-per-supply center, it might even make sense. But it's not, so it doesn't
14 Oct 15 UTC Autumn, 1914: And again....
14 Oct 15 UTC Autumn, 1914: So... What's up? How's it going?
14 Oct 15 UTC Autumn, 1914: I got an idea. Portugal is not really doing anything important. If I move it up to Scandinavia will it be useful? I can also move from Yorkshire if that will be useful
14 Oct 15 UTC Autumn, 1914: It should still allow western Med to hold. And it can in a while break Lithuania destroying that unit and maybe allowing for a push toward Moscow or Warsaw
14 Oct 15 UTC Autumn, 1914: Even if we get livonia, we never move further. Ukraine supports Moscow, Galicia supports Warsaw. He has a draw line too up there. We could also try taking Tunis, but all he has Romeo is support it.
14 Oct 15 UTC Autumn, 1914: Well I tried
15 Oct 15 UTC Autumn, 1915: And again :)
15 Oct 15 UTC Autumn, 1915: is it really worth 23/24 points? i mean this is what turkey wants... but if we give him the victory we can recoup (or for me under 100) the losses and use them for other games.
15 Oct 15 UTC Autumn, 1915: should we just throw the game to end this all ready? otherwise turkey will just hold the line until the end of time.
15 Oct 15 UTC Autumn, 1915: not yet, I'm going to reach out to the mods and see if something can be done. Keep entering the orders ok?
15 Oct 15 UTC Autumn, 1915: yeah. real hold the line orders submitted. turkey not talking but i hope to get his/her opinion on this situation since i proposed something that plays nicely with their interests (win at all cost and over how ever long it will take).
15 Oct 15 UTC Autumn, 1915: As I said before, I know in tournaments there are rules covering this, as it's possible for there to be a 17-17 stalemate line that would be permanent if one of the two doesn't agree to a draw. Let's see what they say - it's really only fair.
16 Oct 15 UTC Autumn, 1915: Moderator: (Hellenic Riot): Dear users. This is indeed a true stalemate line, and has been held for multiple years. I'll give Turkey 24 hours to either draw it himself, or send an email to webdipmod@gmail.com explaining how he's going to solo here (waiting for an NMR doesn't count), and if there isn't a suitable answer, I'm going to force draw this game tomorrow. The requirement for a mod draw is 2 years of no relevant movement in a true stalemate, and that's definitely been met.

16 Oct 15 UTC Autumn, 1915: And not a minute too soon, right guys?
16 Oct 15 UTC Autumn, 1915: Absolutely - Let's hold on a bit longer France, then it's all good :)
16 Oct 15 UTC Autumn, 1915: Thanks, Hellenic Riot :)
16 Oct 15 UTC Autumn, 1915: You guys have no honour.
Clearly I should have won this game and I am disappointed that you colluded in this way and then called in admins.
16 Oct 15 UTC Autumn, 1915: It's called a stalemate for a reason, Turkey. Clearly you shouldn't have won this game, as you couldn't take an 18th center.
16 Oct 15 UTC Spring, 1916: And I take it you won't do the reasonable thing and just call the draw, instead making us wait another day, out of spite? That's certainly honorable :-)
16 Oct 15 UTC Spring, 1916: Fyi, everyone, of Turkey does something strange/self destructive, don't take the bait. This was a hard fought draw and we should wait him out
16 Oct 15 UTC Spring, 1916: Moderator: (Hellenic Riot): Given we require two years of stalemate before getting involved, and this game has had four, I can assure you that they were perfectly justified in emailjng us. Forming stalemates to block a solo is one of the main parts of the game.
16 Oct 15 UTC Spring, 1916: Thank you
16 Oct 15 UTC Spring, 1916: austria. please still hold stp. i will still support. if you get it the support from my navy is cut off there and he has 4 areas to hit you from vs 2 now (minus northern areas and naval spaces on both).
16 Oct 15 UTC Spring, 1916: same thing germany with munich. please hold that and not move to tyr.
16 Oct 15 UTC Spring, 1916: turkey. yes you should have won. germany never should have trusted me when i hit him in the british isles. but germany could not have defeated you and agreed to a draw with my self and austria to salvage some points. this is not about honor but about business. points for a draw (some) vs points for an enemy to win (zero).
16 Oct 15 UTC Spring, 1916: Honour means nothing in Diplomacy. Diplomacy means everything in Diplomacy. We forced you to a draw with good diplomacy. You showed absolutely none whatsoever throughout the game, only taking advantage of people who were falling apart.

If anything, you deserved to bomb out well before this point.
17 Oct 15 UTC Spring, 1916: Lol the main reason I gained ascendancy was because Austria was vindictive after being betrayed by Russia.
17 Oct 15 UTC Spring, 1916: I'm a force of chaos. When you're down to one supply centre, you see an opportunity, you take it.
17 Oct 15 UTC Moderator: (Hellenic Riot): Game drawn.
17 Oct 15 UTC Lol, no points for anyone. I had a feeling this is how things worked. RIP Turkey
17 Oct 15 UTC No, we got points
17 Oct 15 UTC Really? Did you get your own bet back? In my screen it says all bets red.
17 Oct 15 UTC Quick read in the guidebook showed me that indeed even in WTA a draw splits the point. Well earned.
17 Oct 15 UTC Thanks, sorry we couldn't keep you in it
17 Oct 15 UTC Sorry about... well, everything I ended up doing.
17 Oct 15 UTC This was my first game as Austria, and I wasn't aware at the time that Austria only very rarely makes it to the end.
17 Oct 15 UTC Even more rarely in stp haha ;-)
