26 Aug 15 UTC Autumn, 2: Perfect. Just checking :)<--don't attack me because i use emoticons.
26 Aug 15 UTC Autumn, 2: It's Jeff Day! Attack him!
26 Aug 15 UTC Spring, 3: Persia, I am moving a fleet into the Aegean Sea.
26 Aug 15 UTC Spring, 3: Excellent
27 Aug 15 UTC Autumn, 3: Carthage. NAP?
27 Aug 15 UTC Autumn, 3: He speaks!
27 Aug 15 UTC Autumn, 3: Greece are you taking Crete?
27 Aug 15 UTC Autumn, 3: Yeah, I will take Crete. I am going to leave Miletus in your possession for now.
27 Aug 15 UTC Autumn, 3: Many thanks.
27 Aug 15 UTC Autumn, 3: Carthage, what can I do to help you screw with Greece before I'm dead?
27 Aug 15 UTC Autumn, 3: Don't give up that easily
27 Aug 15 UTC Autumn, 3: help me take sicily?
28 Aug 15 UTC Autumn, 3: Carthage, you are showing your true colors. I gave my word not to bother you in the near term and I see several days later you are scheming to attack me. What gives? I did not read in your plea that it was term limited and only good until you have an opportunity.
28 Aug 15 UTC Autumn, 3: Dastardly! That could have gone to my advantage. Rats!
28 Aug 15 UTC Autumn, 3: my colors are and have always been, blue
28 Aug 15 UTC Autumn, 3: ^lol
28 Aug 15 UTC Autumn, 3: Rome is really giving an advantage to Carthage. Caesar would never have done that. Screw Hannibal!
28 Aug 15 UTC Autumn, 3: SCREW MY OLIPHANTS!!!
30 Aug 15 UTC Autumn, 4: Did I miss a turn?
30 Aug 15 UTC Autumn, 4: Crap. Too hard too keep up when I am on biz travel. My attention is almost 100% taken.

I guess that gives Rome a chance they don't deserve.
30 Aug 15 UTC Autumn, 4: Hey Greece, would you mind moving one of your fleets to the Libyan Sea? (unless you had other plans)
30 Aug 15 UTC Autumn, 4: Sure thing.
30 Aug 15 UTC Autumn, 4: Gracias
31 Aug 15 UTC Autumn, 4: I think I may have to drop out of the game. I can't keep up while out on my business trip. Sorry guys.
31 Aug 15 UTC Autumn, 4: Noooooo stay :)
01 Sep 15 UTC Autumn, 4: soooo...everyone against Persia?
01 Sep 15 UTC Autumn, 4: i disagree
02 Sep 15 UTC Spring, 5: Greece, are you staying or quitting? If you are quitting I will come north and take some final SCs to end this.
02 Sep 15 UTC Spring, 5: how many SCs end this game?
02 Sep 15 UTC Spring, 5: 18
04 Sep 15 UTC Autumn, 5: things are heating up around here
04 Sep 15 UTC Autumn, 5: Greece: Talk to me here. What are we doing?
05 Sep 15 UTC Autumn, 5: Fighting Carthage and providing a front line until you can apply pressure. Too bad I lost 2 turns as Carthage would not be this strong. That is at least one regretful part of webdiplomacy.
05 Sep 15 UTC Autumn, 5: Alright, idk what to do with my northern land units.
05 Sep 15 UTC Autumn, 5: Maybe convoy them?
05 Sep 15 UTC Autumn, 5: I think you should come on in and take my SCs for a blow out with Carthage. I will be a pain in the ass in the near term. Treat my peeps well once you conquer my lands is all I ask.
05 Sep 15 UTC Autumn, 5: I am leaving in units that will help holding Carthage back as you build in strength.

Our fleets in Gulf of Sytris and Libyan Sea should be able to effectively block Carthage fleet in Gulf of Tacape.

I will try to hold Ionian Sea and SCs on Italian peninsula in the meantime and advancing position when I can. Since you will cannibalize me, that will not be long.
05 Sep 15 UTC Spring, 6: Sounds good. This has been a good partnership. I hope we can work together in future games.
05 Sep 15 UTC Spring, 6: It ain't over until it is over but I would prefer an ally to win over CARTHAGE...LOL!

BTW, open chat is interesting. I have not been in a game where open chat is used effectively when private chat is available. Stabs then become public and there will be a residual impact that comes with it.
05 Sep 15 UTC Spring, 6: I like open chat too. Keeps people more honest, even in anon games. Would be pretty unwieldy with more than 5 players tho
05 Sep 15 UTC Spring, 6: Global chat can be used to keep people honest in private games. It is a matter of declaring alliances, NAT, DMZ, etc publicly. Then when a party stabs in an agreement, everyone knows they are a dirty dog.
05 Sep 15 UTC Spring, 6: I agree. I still don't like anon games though, but this is closest you can get to an honest game.
05 Sep 15 UTC Spring, 6: I disagree. Open chat discourages strategic coordination with partners; sometimes it is important that others do not know my plans. I may not play an only open game again unless I want to execute strategy on my own until I am strong enough to rub it in every one's faces my next moves.
05 Sep 15 UTC Spring, 6: No i mean with the anon feature.
05 Sep 15 UTC Spring, 6: Persia, move an army up to chersonesus in case Rome tries to get clever.
05 Sep 15 UTC Spring, 6: At least consider it ;)
05 Sep 15 UTC Spring, 6: Good thinking.
06 Sep 15 UTC Spring, 6: I think an open only chat would be tough for the any map other than this one. Too many options, too many intricacies. This map is small, and fairly obvious in terms of where people will head first. So it really makes playing online feel a little more like playing in person. Except you don't know who is who ;-)
11 Sep 15 UTC Good game, everybody!
