18 Aug 15 UTC Spring, 1901: RULES (re-posting from the set-up thread, as requested)

Solo -> winner advances, everyone else kicked off.
Draw -> Biggest and second-biggest power advance, everyone else kicked off.

In a draw when two players tie for second-biggest, neither advances; if two players tie for biggest, they both advance.

Lusthog rules do not apply.
20 Aug 15 UTC Autumn, 1901: Sorry to be this guy, but I'd like to propose a cancel. This doesn't have anything to do with the position, I always prefer to cancel in case of an early NMR.
20 Aug 15 UTC Autumn, 1901: NMR was intentional, not accident. Was part is a failed plot. No need to cancel.
20 Aug 15 UTC Autumn, 1901: Well, that's one way to play the game. I would still be in favor of cancelling, but I'll leave it up to the rest of the players. I'll leave my cancel vote up until after retreats/builds.
21 Aug 15 UTC Autumn, 1901: Meh, it sucks but it seems like great fun to play this out, and France looked like it was going to be conquered sooner or later anyway and he also said it was a failed plot, so that's more like poor performance than absence..

No implications towards France intended, but if we cancel with an 'intentional' NMR, we're setting an interesting precedent..
23 Aug 15 UTC Spring, 1902: What a fascinating game this is already turning out to be.
23 Aug 15 UTC Spring, 1902: Indeed. However this ends, I'm happy we didn't cancel.
23 Aug 15 UTC Spring, 1902: Me too ;)
28 Aug 15 UTC Spring, 1903: Apologies for holding up the game, mad busy today and tomorrow.
28 Aug 15 UTC Spring, 1903: We should all kill Russia now. That'll learn him
06 Sep 15 UTC Spring, 1905: Well....Englang has openenly declared that he is muting me for this game.

If anyone else agrees that this is unaccaptable, I am willing to agree to work with anyone to eliminate England, and then call a draw.

This game is above little bitches muting people.

He just spent the last hour insulting me in PM...and then when I responded in kind, he claims I offended him and muted me? WTF? Time to eliminate the children in the game.
07 Sep 15 UTC Spring, 1905: I quit.

I"m NMR'ing the rest of the game, because fucking England is a childish prick and has me muted.

Fuck this game. I don't really give a shit is I offended you in press. I ALSO just tried to apologize...but the fucking child has me muted.

I so fucking tired of childish whiny bitches on this site.

Fuck this.

Game over.

I'm done. And if that makes me a fucking hypocrite, then so be it.
08 Sep 15 UTC Autumn, 1905: I can't wait to GIFT the winning SC to Austria.

Fuck you, England
08 Sep 15 UTC Spring, 1906: Wow. Sorry, who is the childish whiny bitch here? Remind me again?
09 Sep 15 UTC Spring, 1906: You are, you muting little prick.

We had a good thing going to turn the game around, and then you got all hyper-sensitive like a little bitch and threw the fucking game. That's why I'm serving up the win to Austria just to spite you - it's just the icing on the cake.
10 Sep 15 UTC Congrats Austria.
10 Sep 15 UTC Indeed, congrats Austria. I'm rather disappointed to see both England and France are players I looked forward to playing against..

Oh well, I'm guessing neither of them ruined the game on purpose..

When the tempers have cooled, I wouldn't mind a rematch over a Wieder-gut-machen Schnitzel from Wien, served by our victor!
Not neccessary though. Just saying I'd be up for it.
10 Sep 15 UTC I don't mean to discredit Austria's victory in any way, btw. No matter how hard I tried to convince him otherwise, I had the feeling for a long time that he would beat me to the solo.
10 Sep 15 UTC Russia - start a new game - I'm in of you want, and of played can agree that full press means No muting.

I'm not at ask surprised the cry-baby douchebag that used mute in a full press game was Jamie. He's as intellectually inept in game as he is in forums.
10 Sep 15 UTC Not looking to create more anger, but respectfully, I disagree:
A fight comes from two sides..
The intellectual thing to do would be to recognize your inferior neighbour (no offence Jamie, it's more of a hypothetical thing to me since I don't know the ins and outs), keeping him happy and allying him since he poses no serious threat anyway.

Using strong words against someone who clearly can't appreciate it when he's crucial to preventing the solo isn't the best strategy I've seen..

Again, no offence to anyone, just thoughts.
10 Sep 15 UTC Toy can neither appease, apologize or continue to antagonize a festering twat that mutes you in game.

Jamie is a worthless asshole. If I had the ability to banish him from any game I ever played again, I would, as he is untrustworthy.
10 Sep 15 UTC I muted you only after page after page of completely needless abuse of the most unpleasant kind. You need serious professional help. Your anger management problems concern me.
10 Sep 15 UTC I'm not too interested in the question whether jamiet is incompetent or just untrustworthy ;) In the two games I have played with him just now, he's been a good ally and provided strong opposition whenever I attacked him. 10/10 would play again.

Steephie, you played well, you made a good case for me to go after Turkey rather than you in the beginning. I don't know if it was intentional, but your determination to move into Armenia was actually the thing that convinced me that an A/T was less viable - if I had supported Turkey to Rum as promised, he'd have had to build at least one army, and not the two fleets I'd have liked to see.

Later in the game, I think you were too eager to play on all fronts at once - F Sev and F Stp (nc) and having an army in Munich is tough with only 6 units. I don't remember exactly how things went, but wasn't there a moment for you and Germany to become allies? Finally, at the end of the game, you could have caused me serious problems by allying with Turkey, which I know he'd have agreed to do.
11 Sep 15 UTC JAmie, you are such a wea-minded dolt, I could tell you that you look nice today, and you would deem that some sort of sexist insult. Go away, you worthless bitch.

I don't care if you felt insulted...have enough integrity to play the game. More to the point, quit being such a weak pussy that you are actually offended by words on the screen over the internet. Grow a fucking pair.
11 Sep 15 UTC I never stopped playing the game. I simply stopped feeling there was anything to gain from trying to talk to someone who shouted "FUCK YOU, FUCK YOU, FUCK YOU" for no reason.
11 Sep 15 UTC @bas: When you hadn't stabbed me yet, I felt like I had to cross the stalemate line asap because I would only then be able to guarantee myself a solo if I stabbed you. That's why I decided not to get peace with Germany. Probably a bad decision.

When you stabbed me I was very busy and I didn't find the time to contact Turkey for at least the first turn.

Because of the timing of it all, the homeland ended up completely open. I should have stalled one attack, if only so there remained units around. I genuinely though that you wouldn't be able to cross the stalemate line after stabbing me, though. Obviously that wasn't too hard now, but I wonder whether I was right if we assume everyone got their act together.

Since I had to beat you to a solid foothold across the stalemate line in my mind on one hand and had to reap the rewards of the fighting against Turkey on.the other, I wouldn't really know which action I should have waited with. I was just short of time, I think. That is mostly thanks to your brilliant stab against Italy.

So well done again: you were just too fast.
11 Sep 15 UTC I think you're right. If the West had worked together, I wouldn't have got it. In fact, even after I got to 17 I believe I could have been stopped. But the two of us wouldn't have broken the line either: Bur/Ruhr/Kie is a stalemate line and they were winning the fight in the North (I still wonder how you got Kie by the way, that was strange). So I felt a draw was imminent. Basically what happened is that I asked England what I needed to do to convince to stab Germany or France and he said I had to stab you first, so I did.
11 Sep 15 UTC Munich and Berlin were centers 18 and 19 if you don't count St Pete..
We didn't need to get further, we could've stopped after taking those and then fight it out for the solo.
11 Sep 15 UTC Isn't that more-or-less what I did? :)
11 Sep 15 UTC Well, you supported Germany against me, even though I said you could move to Munich. You certainly didn't have the same priorities I had, but clearly you did better.
11 Sep 15 UTC Yeah, that move wasn't great. I tried to persuade Germany to support me to Munich, but he insisted to move Boh-Mun himself. Knowing that, I couldn't do better than to bounce him in Munich - which would have left Munich to you.
11 Sep 15 UTC Hence I thought it wasn't time to stab yet, but I'm sure you knew you had to beat me to it as well.
11 Sep 15 UTC I get your reasoning Russia but with how hard you were hitting me, I was always going to side with Austria. If we could have had peace when I still had power, we perhaps could have teamed up effectively against Austria. No hard feelings though. You definitely played against me well.
11 Sep 15 UTC Would you work with Austria if he were about to solo and I were helping you in every way I could, even if I was hitting you hard before that?

We certainly could've worked together effectively, but it feels to me like that would be giving up any attempt to solo. Maybe I got that wrong and should've waited for my time, I don't know. Austria's play was next to impossible to beat anyway, he took down Italy so fast..

A key factor may have been that there were two powers trying to solo at the same time here.
11 Sep 15 UTC I think after I stabbed you in 1904, you should've stopped attacking Turkey and Germany. I think taking Kiel and later Smyrna was a mistake.

But, if you sided with the Western powers you'd have gotten Mun & Ber but not much more. So it would've been very easy to eliminate in the endgame - assuming I could contain Turkey and you if you worked together.
11 Sep 15 UTC I think after Austria stabbed Russia trying to recalibrate the balance was the play but I got hammered so I'm probably biased
12 Sep 15 UTC Yeah, due to time constraints I didn't really react initially..
