09 Aug 15 UTC	Spring, 2009: The reason I even entertained the idea was the fact of Florida was my ally most of the game. I've have made the decision to help close them out and draw because the game has a way of changing. When the rest of you place a draw vote it may be for the right reason of showing commitment to the plan, but it leaves me to appear the greedy one to the remaining players. Or even another motive against me.
09 Aug 15 UTC	Spring, 2009: I'm not gonna go greed on this. The difference in points for a 5-draw and a 4 draw is around 6 points. Of course NMR's would have removed any right for a draw, but it doesn't justify given it just because he didn't. What matter to me is how he played the game. I have 0 communication with him, and the earlier California-played didn't have any either. In my opinion that really goes against him being in a draw. Of course, I am far away from him, but when Texas turned on him I would have expected an attempt to sway me - I would have expected an attempt to sway me, Cuba, Peru and Quebec. That's why I don't think he deserves a draw in this game - he might have played well enough and communicated with you nearby, but he didn't attempt any dealings with me - and he was actually the one needing another ally most when I joined.

09 Aug 15 UTC	Spring, 2009: Thanks for the feedback cali. This will be about my 6th game I've ever finished, and I'm definitely still learning a lot when it comes to press. At the time, I still hadn't viewed Texas as an enemy, just someone coming over to help with my Cuban problem, and then it was too late. I did reach out to Peru for help with Cuba, but he was busy with mexico at the time. Regardless, I'm certainly learning that the more press the better. As for the draw, while it's definitely better than being eliminated, I'm not too concerned about it. I'll just pop back to 100 points, and I'm sure you all could use the extra points more than me; I wouldn't be surprised if I have a few more defeats coming my way before I start to really get the hang of it.
10 Aug 15 UTC	Autumn, 2009: Florida, I know what you and California are trying to say, and my tip for you is to always introduce yourself to every single player. That's what I did this game, if they were of consequence to me I would say Hello and talk about tangible things between us. If they were far away like Heartland or Quebec, I'd say "Hey, I want to introduce myself because I find it awkward to open communication in the mid-game etc etc." It goes a long way.
10 Aug 15 UTC	Autumn, 2009: Peru is correct. Contacting me the beginning of the game did make it easier to negotiate. Even if it's a general idea or a greeting. That's what I've learned this game. Florida, you played a nice game and have the right attitude.
