12 May 15 UTC | Spring, 1999: Well, good luck everyone! Don't expect me to do too well. This is my first game of this, but I felt bad that it wasn't going to start. |
12 May 15 UTC | Spring, 1999: Good Luck! |
12 May 15 UTC | Spring, 1999: Hello all |
12 May 15 UTC | Spring, 1999: Hi all, first game on this map too, but i'll do good :) |
12 May 15 UTC | Spring, 1999: I think that's true for several of us |
12 May 15 UTC | Spring, 1999: Agreed. |
12 May 15 UTC | Spring, 1999: I've played this map many times but only have 1 solo (as New York). As long as nobody CDs, we're in for a good match. |
13 May 15 UTC | Spring, 1999: Florida says hi. I am always open to discussion. |
13 May 15 UTC | Spring, 1999: California, your grammar and self-confidence are offensive to my midwestern sensibilities. |
13 May 15 UTC | Spring, 1999: Has anyone ever played a US vs The Other Nations on this variant? KingCyrus made one, but they drew so quickly it wasn't fun to watch. It would be T, F, Ca, H, N vs M, P, Cu, Q, B I'm not saying we do that here, but it would be interesting to try that some other time. |
13 May 15 UTC | Spring, 1999: That sounds interesting. So, is everyone is required to work with the powers in their group, or is there a possibility of betrayal? I think the former would be a refreshing change from regular diplomacy. |
13 May 15 UTC | Spring, 1999: No possibility for betrayal or a GM cancels the game and resigns the player who betrayed. once one power (of 5) wins, then they draw. if any of them were defeated along the way, the defeated party still gets no points. There is an East (Russia, Turkey, Poland, Egypt, Ukraine) vs West (Spain, France, Germany, Britain, Italy) Modern Diplomacy II game up on the forum now, and that is similar |
13 May 15 UTC | Spring, 1999: That actually sounds pretty cool. |
13 May 15 UTC | Spring, 1999: Good luck everyone. Have fun. This is my first time on this map too, but it looked really fun so I wanted to get into a game of it. I am also always available for discussion. |
13 May 15 UTC | Spring, 1999: Now if only Cuba would make it's move so we can GOOOOOO |
13 May 15 UTC | Spring, 1999: That gametype sounds really cool. I guess you have to count on certain players being competent though, or else they might block your way to supply centers (since you can't capture their territory). |
13 May 15 UTC | Spring, 1999: Haha, Cuba might be AWOL for this one. Peru gonna be a powerhouse! |
13 May 15 UTC | Spring, 1999: That's what it's looking like. Who AWOLs on turn one, seriously? |
13 May 15 UTC | Spring, 1999: Cuba |
13 May 15 UTC | Spring, 1999: +1 |
