Honestly, I was about to offer a draw until you brought up the fact that I was so close to victory. That made me realize I had more fleets than you, which would let me take Carthage, and continue pushing south. And thank you Persia for giving me Sinope.

There's nothing wrong with breaking a promised draw. Hell it's part of the game. But you already offered a draw, you were not "about to offer a draw". Just to keep you honest ;)

The offer got me to go on the defensive in the west rather than try for an offensive (who knows if it would have worked). You tricked me and I really should have seen it coming, but by the time I did I couldn't stop it.
