14 Apr 15 UTC | Spring, 1994: So there are two movement turns every year. One of them is in Spring and one is in Autumn. Normal territories will change colour when you move into them but you need to be in a supply centre for winter in order to capture it. (Supply Centres are the territories with dots) For every supply centre you are allowed a unit.. if you capture a new supply centre you'll get your unit before the start of Spring and you pick one of your original supply centres for it to appear in. If you lose a territory and can't get it back before the end of the year then you will be forced to disband one of your armies/fleets so that you don't have more units than supply centres. |
14 Apr 15 UTC | Spring, 1994: Is everyone happy with the mechanics of moving and supporting? Let me know if not and I will explain here. |
17 Apr 15 UTC | Spring, 1995: What's the deal with the "server-side moves"? Who wins when two opposing units attempt to move to the same empty space? |
17 Apr 15 UTC | Spring, 1995: nobody.. unless the move to that space is supported. In a 1 V 1 move, both units revert to where they were. In the Gibraltar case, Fleet at Gib moved to SoG, Fleet at West Med moved to SoG... neither were supported so both failed and returned to original position. The fleet that ended up back in Gibraltar then got attacked by your two unites from Seville and Andalucia and has been displaced. Britain now must retreat that fleet..but they actually can only retreat to South Atlantic because SoG was contested this turn. (you can't retreat into a territory that was contested that turn) |
20 Apr 15 UTC | Autumn, 1995: I'm bored, hurry up you dicks |
20 Apr 15 UTC | Spring, 1996: agree |
20 Apr 15 UTC | Spring, 1996: If an army unit wants to move via convoy, can the fleet take any action apart from also convoying the unit? Or do you have to make sure that both units' orders agree? |
21 Apr 15 UTC | Spring, 1996: they have to agree or the convoy will fail. you can convoy using everyones fleets so the orders have to be specific or you could convoy using my fleet without me agreeing to it which wouldn't make sense. if you want to move your army from Bar to Algeria... you select a move for that unit to algeria (via convoy). Then you select your fleet in west med and select 'convoy' from 'bar' to 'algeria'. |
21 Apr 15 UTC | Spring, 1996: I think Ukraine has pretty much checked out, so we will have to wait the full 24 hours every time until all of his forces have been eradicated... |
21 Apr 15 UTC | Spring, 1996: That won't take long :P |
22 Apr 15 UTC | Autumn, 1996: 24 hour mezzogiorno nap. typical. |
22 Apr 15 UTC | Autumn, 1996: This has not gone well. Right I'm out too. I'll just hold on my orders to keep this moving. I look forward to next game |
24 Apr 15 UTC | Spring, 1997: Egypt, you're trying to convoy through my fleet! :P That's why it keeps failing. I would need to set the convoy order for it to work. |
29 Apr 15 UTC | Spring, 1999: dammit... gave the wrong order to one of my armies :( |
07 May 15 UTC | Autumn, 2001: Let it be known that Spain considers Germany to be a shower of wankers and will do everything to ensure the Germanic demise. I am open to suggestions for moves and attacks against the aryan swine. Spain will not win this war but will do everything it can so that Germany doesn't either. |

10 May 15 UTC | Spring, 2002: oh oh great, looks like egypt is quitting too. is turkey meta-gaming by just actually murdering players or something? |
10 May 15 UTC | Spring, 2002: Hah! That would be a fantastic plot to a movie. |
11 May 15 UTC | "would be", "plot", "movie" |
11 May 15 UTC | you're fooling no-one, turk |
