11 Feb 15 UTC Spring, 2: You will have to negotiate for my ready. Bwahahaha.
11 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 2: Wright is my 6th hour teacher, and we're doing an activity, so me submitting orders before school is over would be a miracle.
11 Feb 15 UTC Spring, 3: In case Brinley somehow forgot to mention to those playing for their first time: A key aspect of the game is making and breaking deals. It's nearly (if not entirely) impossible to win without doing that. That being said, I've received an unusually small amount of press for being 3 years into the game. I have a tendency to save my builds so that discussion isn't hastened. This game is too quiet.
11 Feb 15 UTC Spring, 3: Hey. Hey Persia. Shhh. You're not contributing to the quietness of this game.
11 Feb 15 UTC Spring, 3: I'm really not. You're right. Sorry.
12 Feb 15 UTC Spring, 3: It would be so awkward if everyone missed this phase.
12 Feb 15 UTC Spring, 3: I'm betting that will happen.
12 Feb 15 UTC Spring, 3: Since we are far enough in, I'll begin explaining support moves and holds. Let's say Lauren (Egypt) wanted to move Cirta to Phazania. She would have to put in the move for Cirta, but use Leptis to support move Cirta to Phazania since 1 army can't beat 1 army. It would have to be 2 to 1. If Josh (Carthage) wanted to keep Phazania, he would have to use Sahara to support hold Phazania, but then Phazania wouldn't be allowed to do anything but hold.
12 Feb 15 UTC Spring, 3: Or support something else, but it would be pointless because if one unit moves to attack another unit, all support becomes void, and it's forced to be a hold and nothing else. This would be unless it's supporting a unit to move into the territory (Cirta, in this case) that's trying to move into there (Phazania, which is support moving, in this case).
12 Feb 15 UTC Spring, 3: (support moving) should read (supporting a move), if that helps.
12 Feb 15 UTC Spring, 3: You can learn more by going to the bottom left corner and clicking 'orders'.
12 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 3: And only one unit can occupy any given territory at any given time (since this isn't Risk, Lauren), so any matching number of units trying to enter the same territory will bounce each other out, and it stays as it was (which is actually great in a number of cases, such as if you have a territory, and are surrounded by two enemies, with each one having two units next to your territory, and they both want in). That's why supports are necessary.
12 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 3: We ought to be on a team for the actual Gov game. It'd be easy extra credit for you guys.
13 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 3: Josh is going to CD. That's no fun.
CD is Civil Disorder. That's when you miss 2 consecutive phases and not enter any orders, and it also requires that you not open up the page and look at the board. It's absolutely infuriating because it screws up the game.
13 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 3: Either way, Josh loses this turn. So does Meghan.
13 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 3: Meghan can't lose this turn. You can only either take Miletus or Crete, and she'll end up with the other. She'll still have a Supply Center guaranteed.

I just played this one. Live games can get really stressful, that's part of why I never play them.
17 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 4: Didn't know if I'd pick up Macedonia. That's always a nice bonus.
17 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 4: Persian-Egyptian alliance? Huh. Interesting.
17 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 4: Why would such an alliance be "interesting"?
