15 Dec 14 UTC Spring, 1901: Good luck everyone!
15 Dec 14 UTC Spring, 1901: I can see you sharpening your backstabbing knives already Colin.
15 Dec 14 UTC Spring, 1901: I can see you sharpening your backstabbing knives already Colin.
15 Dec 14 UTC Spring, 1901: ^
16 Dec 14 UTC Spring, 1901: C'mon guys, it's only a backstab when there's some sort of semblance of trust, and clearly nobody trusts me. Respect your terminology.
16 Dec 14 UTC Spring, 1901: What if you trust that somebody will backstab you? Because I'm fairly confident that will happen. Is it then a backstab if they don't backstab because they broke that trust?
16 Dec 14 UTC Spring, 1901: I could make a joke about a reacharound right about now but that's fairly easy.
16 Dec 14 UTC Spring, 1901: ^
18 Dec 14 UTC Autumn, 1901: A strong Germany-France alliance emerges! Russia lets Turkey have the Black Sea! Shit makes no sense, as always!
18 Dec 14 UTC Autumn, 1901: If it made sense then it wouldn't be worth playing
21 Dec 14 UTC Autumn, 1901: Can I just state for the record that waiting three days for turns to resolve is goddamn agonizing?
I mean seriously, I'll renounce the title of supreme commander and go over the top several times over, at least that way I'll know what's coming and sooner.
21 Dec 14 UTC Autumn, 1901: Welcome to Diplomacy, and congratulations for hitting on an important part of the game! 3 days is necessary for everyone to argue, get belligerent, place orders, become paranoid and switch orders, repeat about 5 times, then switch everything at the last second. It's a slow burn.
21 Dec 14 UTC Autumn, 1901: Although if people want to Ready their build actions and retreats, it'll help things move faster.
26 Dec 14 UTC Autumn, 1902: There's a pretty obvious turkey-Russia going on, or at least a non aggression pact. In the interest of game balance and so that we're not all overrun I'm asking the 5 of us to put aside our problems and fight Russia and turkey.
26 Dec 14 UTC Autumn, 1902: Alternatively, we can keep slap fighting and lose to an obvious juggernaut.
27 Dec 14 UTC Autumn, 1902: We have no pact, lol. I simply saw that ACat had not logged into the game for 4-5 days so I rightly assumed he was not the threat I had to contend with at present. He made no aggressive moves probably by the simple nature that he made no moves at all. I think people will view my moves as necessary seeing as Colin attempted to push me out if territory last turn. I doubt anyone will begrudge me protecting my border against an aggressive assault over moving on a harmless sleeping neighbor.
27 Dec 14 UTC Autumn, 1902: This is the first time I've signed in since leaving Indy. I came back to about 15 messages/hate mail for sitting idol. Cool dudes. Game on.
27 Dec 14 UTC Autumn, 1902: Russia-Turkey non-aggression is an alliance. Unless there is open, violent exchange of territory, it is the duty of every other country to oppose the juggernaut otherwise it will run us down eventually.
27 Dec 14 UTC Autumn, 1902: Again, there is no non-aggression act, lol. Russia will get his but a present I have Austria actively invading my western border and I have adequate defenses to hold if any Russia attack on that border. The paranoia is real though.
18 Jan 15 UTC Autumn, 1904: Welp, looks like I'm out.
18 Jan 15 UTC Autumn, 1904: It was a good effort. You aren't the first person to miss the connection between Liverpool and Edinburgh and you won't be the last. If it makes you feel any better I'll crush France for you. Unless he starts finally honoring his treaties.
18 Jan 15 UTC Autumn, 1904: gg England. I will murder your nazi children Germany. Or make peace? I dunno. We'll see.
19 Jan 15 UTC Autumn, 1904: You made a similar showing to my first time playing, also as England. Next time, you will know who to trust (nobody, nobody ever, they are all coming for you while you are sleeping)
19 Jan 15 UTC Autumn, 1904: And I know Russia and I are next on the chopping block but I just want to say I really enjoy having cherry red text. It may be my favorite country color.
19 Jan 15 UTC Autumn, 1904: Yeah yeah France, "avenge" nothing, I hope Brian razes the Arch de Triomphe and replaces it with a gigantic goddamn victory Stein.

And yes Austria, I did notice the particular enjoyment of red text. Should we call you Darth Emo or Darth I'm only in one movie even though I'm a much better character than the eventual other Darth?
20 Jan 15 UTC Spring, 1905: Sooo... is it too early to start worrying about Brian/Germany?
21 Jan 15 UTC Spring, 1905: Have you noticed there's just as much red as there is brown and it's right on your doorstep?
21 Jan 15 UTC Spring, 1905: Well sure, Austria is a bigger threat to me but I mean for everyone. Germany has almost twice as many supply depots and units...
22 Jan 15 UTC Spring, 1905: England, I find your ability to equate 6 and 11 impressive.
22 Jan 15 UTC Spring, 1905: Yeah well Occam's Razor, Schrodinger's Cat and every other theoretical problem maxim and whatnot.
27 Jan 15 UTC Autumn, 1905: Adieu, Russia. Go gently into that good night.
03 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 1906: Whelp - I guess that about does it
03 Feb 15 UTC Spring, 1907: Looks that way...
04 Feb 15 UTC Spring, 1907: gg all - pretty sure that does it. Btw, I just got an email from the site saying it detected that I was playing with people I know and that I could get my account banned in 3 days if I can't explain. Any of you see something like that? Was this not set up as a personal/private game?

"There have been suspicions raised as to the individuality of yours and certain other accounts. Our systems have flagged these accounts with a strong likelihood of being owned and operated by the same individual and/or a strong case of metagaming (playing with people you know outside of the site). As you should know, these offenses are a breach of the WebDiplomacy rules http://www.webdiplomacy.net/rules.php.

If there is anything you would like to tell me that would help explain the situation I would be grateful if you would respond to this email. Admission to the fact will not necessarily mean the worst possible punishment, since we all do make mistakes, but if I don't hear anything in the next 3 days I will assume the worst and will punish accordingly."
04 Feb 15 UTC Spring, 1907: Did you make a second account for your second game? It sounds like maybe having two accounts isn't allowed.
04 Feb 15 UTC Spring, 1907: No I didn't get anything about this.
04 Feb 15 UTC Spring, 1907: I do not think I have seen any such thing, no. Had no idea that playing with people you know is against the rules? That seems pretty stupid. Maybe because people were coordinating but all of the chat was happening outside of the website? No idea.
05 Feb 15 UTC Spring, 1907: What did you do tom
05 Feb 15 UTC Spring, 1907: WHAT DID YOU DO
05 Feb 15 UTC Spring, 1907: recommend sending dick pics in response
05 Feb 15 UTC A big veiny one
