21 Nov 14 UTC Spring, 1902: I'm ok with waiting until Monday.
21 Nov 14 UTC Spring, 1902: Monday is fine for me as well.
24 Nov 14 UTC Spring, 1902: England, it looks like your "UNPAUSE" gets us rolling again...
25 Nov 14 UTC Spring, 1902: it looks like it didn't.
25 Nov 14 UTC Spring, 1902: Sorry -- I had to unpause, have to deal with something real quick and I want to hear back from someone before I finalize my orders. I promise it'll be unpaused tomorrow regardless of whether I hear from him or not.
25 Nov 14 UTC Spring, 1902: no worries, take your time.
27 Nov 14 UTC Spring, 1903: is that a fleet in Marseilles?
or are you just happy to see me?
27 Nov 14 UTC Spring, 1903: Porque no los dos?
27 Nov 14 UTC Spring, 1903: It's a fake-out -- France's real objective is Ankara, clearly.
27 Nov 14 UTC Spring, 1903: Well, you're not wrong..
28 Nov 14 UTC Spring, 1903: France, stay out of ankara you ***** i've already declared war against turkey, and it's going to be mine!!!
28 Nov 14 UTC Autumn, 1903: ow boy
29 Nov 14 UTC Autumn, 1903: Sorry I didn't send any press this turn. I was offline.
03 Dec 14 UTC Autumn, 1904: gg all
03 Dec 14 UTC Autumn, 1904: gg italy
03 Dec 14 UTC Autumn, 1904: gg italy
04 Dec 14 UTC Spring, 1905: Hey everyone, sorry about this but I need a pause until Monday afternoon. It's the end of the semester and I have a metric shit tonne of things that need to be focused on over the next four and a half days
05 Dec 14 UTC Spring, 1905: (A_Tin_Can): Game paused by request. If you have any concerns about this pause, please email webdipmod@gmail.com.
05 Dec 14 UTC Spring, 1905: Anyone know why this game is paused?
05 Dec 14 UTC Spring, 1905: Germany requested a pause for the weekend, and not everyone seemed to have checked in, so I contacted a Mod to request it. If you recall, we paused once before for another player in order to prevent an inadvertent NMR. I hope it is not an inconvenience.
05 Dec 14 UTC Spring, 1905: Oh no, it's fine. I didn't see Germany's message. I have too many games going on now anyway.
05 Dec 14 UTC Spring, 1905: Yeah, it's convenient here too. Involved in Mafia game, though i'll probably have been killed by monday.
05 Dec 14 UTC Spring, 1905: i know how you feel.
08 Dec 14 UTC Spring, 1905: Please unpause as soon as you check in. There are still 9 hours left once we restart the phase clock.
09 Dec 14 UTC Spring, 1905: Hallo Deutschland! Was gibts? Unpause bitte.
09 Dec 14 UTC Spring, 1905: Game on. Sincerest apologies to everyone, I was done with everything yesterday evening but was mentally and physically exhausted so I wasn't even online.
09 Dec 14 UTC Spring, 1905: I'm feeling claustrophobic. Would everyone please step away from the center of the board?...
...
...
No, huh?
11 Dec 14 UTC Autumn, 1905: Thanks for playing everyone.
So far - no NMRs, so good going!
Good luck to the four left standing.
11 Dec 14 UTC Autumn, 1905: Have a good one all!
11 Dec 14 UTC Autumn, 1905: It seems like this is heading for a 4 way draw.
11 Dec 14 UTC Autumn, 1905: If this ends in a 4-way draw I will be sorely disappointed in all of you. Clearly, some combination of France, Germany, or England could make an easy target for conquest (Turkey is a fair bit harder to attack, but a combined French-German-English assault could make it happen).
11 Dec 14 UTC Autumn, 1905: This was inevitable. I told Austria after spring 1901 that both the moves and the diplomacy of Turkey and Russia were coherent with a Slingshot Juggernaut scenario, something Austria tuned into right away, but failed to act upon sensibly by bouncing me out of Greece, which I proposed I could take earlier (not at all an unreasonable proposal for the weaker Diplomacy nation of Italy).
Austria never addressed my question during the diplomacy of S01, nor did he address my question as to why he went for it himself after. I found that important for future negotiations, he didn't.
11 Dec 14 UTC Autumn, 1905: Italy man, you get props for recognizing the Slingshot but you're not winning any points by pointing and saying "I told you so" from the sidelines after you were the first player knocked out of the game :P If you can't convince people to listen to you when you're right, it's a failure of diplomacy on your part as much as theirs.
11 Dec 14 UTC Autumn, 1905: No comment.
11 Dec 14 UTC Autumn, 1905: If everyone else wants, I wouldn't mind seeing an EoG discussion started in the forum once this game is completely in the books.
11 Dec 14 UTC Autumn, 1905: I'd be fine with that. There's still a lot of diplomacy to be played though
11 Dec 14 UTC Autumn, 1905: Agreed
11 Dec 14 UTC Autumn, 1905: Agreed on both counts. However, I don't tend to follow the forums much, so if someone could please send me a PM once the post is put up, I'll be sure to add my EoG thoughts. Otherwise I'm likely to miss the thread completely.
12 Dec 14 UTC Spring, 1906: Argh. Of course Russia, you're right. I was hanging around the site to blow off some steam and Austria being the first one I saw he took the hit. Meh. Good game all.
16 Dec 14 UTC Autumn, 1906: Has everyone basically given up on talking then?
16 Dec 14 UTC Autumn, 1906: Just France and England, I think.
16 Dec 14 UTC Autumn, 1906: You could just draw this one up, if you want.
16 Dec 14 UTC Autumn, 1906: We all have draw orders up besides Germany, and yet nobody will help me attack him...
16 Dec 14 UTC Autumn, 1906: Well I really thought the WT would have held out better but they stopped replying. I want to keep going but considering the point you just made (which has been going through my head for some time already) I'm considering just taking it because I'm tired and just want the games I'm in over so I can spend the holidays not stressing over this site.
16 Dec 14 UTC Spring, 1907: Sorry for being non-responsive guys. I moved to a new apartment, so currently I can only play from work.
About the draw vote: I'm just very busy IRL, and wouldn't mind the game being over now. It's possible we could play until one is eliminated (which would most likely be Germany or me).. I'll play as long as it takes, but may be a bit silent.
24 Dec 14 UTC Autumn, 1908: Alright, that is super annoying because I thought I double checked that I ordered to Bulgaria.
26 Dec 14 UTC Merry Christmas everyone. I just found out I'm going to be a lot busier than I anticipated and won't be able to dedicate as much time to the end game as I had wanted, so consider this a late Christmas present. Turkey, congratulations on convincing the other 2 of the solo threat, you earned your place in the draw with that.
26 Dec 14 UTC Congratulations to the four survivors.
Thank you for playing everyone.
27 Dec 14 UTC Gg, it's a shame turkey wasn't killed though. ;)
27 Dec 14 UTC Thanks. Great game everyone
