13 Nov 14 UTC Spring, 1999: Good luck everyone
13 Nov 14 UTC Spring, 1999: Heartland & Mexico - we are stuck in the middle and will be cannon fodder for those on the edges. We should work together... Agree?
13 Nov 14 UTC Spring, 1999: :0) Didn't realize that private messaging was available... d'oh!
14 Nov 14 UTC Autumn, 1999: NOOOOOOOOOO San Francisco isn't San Diego why am I so stupid
14 Nov 14 UTC Autumn, 1999: that sucks
14 Nov 14 UTC Autumn, 1999: That explains so much. Sorry :-\
15 Nov 14 UTC Autumn, 1999: Could we proceed if everyone is ready? 36 hours is a long game...
15 Nov 14 UTC Autumn, 1999: At least early on.
15 Nov 14 UTC Autumn, 1999: most are ready
16 Nov 14 UTC Spring, 2000: Sorry to be last in with the builds. My time zones are tricky sometimes.
01 Dec 14 UTC Spring, 2003: I am disappointed with myself
14 Dec 14 UTC Spring, 2006: Sorry if I missed a turn the last couple of days. Went out of town. Back now, though. And finals are over so I'll be here more frequently.
15 Dec 14 UTC Spring, 2006: I think there is a bug. There is no reason I can see why the lima convoy didn't work.
15 Dec 14 UTC Spring, 2006: Actually, just an error on my part :( :(
18 Jan 15 UTC Autumn, 2013: Gentlemen I would like to request a pause, as I am travelling halfway across the world and my internet access may be questionable for the next fee days.
18 Jan 15 UTC Autumn, 2013: Fine with me.
18 Jan 15 UTC Autumn, 2013: We can pause if we all agree to an exact length of the pause, and if the mods confirm they will unpause at the end of that period if the players do not. I don't want this to be one of those games that get stuck on pause.

We would also need to agree in advance to give the same pause and length to other players, should they request one later. (Cuba could have certainly used a pause when he was super busy and ended up missing two turns.)
19 Jan 15 UTC Autumn, 2013: It's fine with me. Safe travels, Peru.
19 Jan 15 UTC Autumn, 2013: Doesn't affect me at all because I'm probably not going to survive this game, but I think BC should take Peru at his word that he'll be back promptly. If Peru doesn't make it back in time, it will be to BC's sole benefit.
19 Jan 15 UTC Autumn, 2013: I do take Peru at his word and I agree to vote pause in the spirit of the game provided we have a resume date and agreement to do the same if someone else asks.
19 Jan 15 UTC Autumn, 2013: I'm in Brisbane now, very jet lagged. Have internet WiFi at present
19 Jan 15 UTC Autumn, 2013: I'm moving up to Hervey bay soon, internet may become sketchy. Pause not required now but I would appreciate your understanding if there are temporary connectivity issues
08 Feb 15 UTC Spring, 2017: Gentlemen, further fighting is not required to confirm the victors in this conflict.

What are your terms?
18 Feb 15 UTC Spring, 2019: In order to not drag this out, want me to support Potosi into Guadalajara Cuba?
18 Feb 15 UTC Spring, 2019: You can't support someone to displace your own unit. The rules won't allow it. But you can just hold and not support yourself, to let Cuba take you most easily.
18 Feb 15 UTC Spring, 2019: Fair enough.
24 Feb 15 UTC Spring, 2020: If we could have a quick pause, that would be fabulous. I'm having surgery tomorrow and may be out of comission until Thursday or Friday. I'd appreciate your understanding.
24 Feb 15 UTC Spring, 2020: Of course. Good luck with the surgery and best wishes for a speedy recovery.
24 Feb 15 UTC Spring, 2020: Thanks. If you'd like to unpause briefly, I have moves ready for this turn. Then we can plot the next turn during the pause.
24 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 2020: Sounds good. Phase processed, and pause re-selected.
24 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 2020: *Pokes his head out of a hidden bunker*

Interesting how the political landscape has ended up...
24 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 2020: Peasant
26 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 2020: Hope the surgery went well, Cuba. I've entered orders and voted "unpause", so feel free to do the same as soon as you feel up to it.
26 Feb 15 UTC Autumn, 2020: My orders are in, ready when you are.
