17 Dec 09 UTC Autumn, 1904: Man, I could have totally held on a little longer.
18 Dec 09 UTC Autumn, 1904: so what now?
18 Dec 09 UTC Autumn, 1904: good question...isn't that up to you and Turkey though?
18 Dec 09 UTC Autumn, 1904: Well that depends if it was an update glitch, which no one has addressed. But I can stomach the nmr.
18 Dec 09 UTC Autumn, 1904: I noticed that the update caused a lot of X's/!'s, but it hasn't affected any of my other games which were pretty full of them.
18 Dec 09 UTC Autumn, 1904: I don't think that the glitches are what Austria (or myself) was referring to...
18 Dec 09 UTC Autumn, 1904: I don't think that the glitches are what Austria (or myself) was referring to...
18 Dec 09 UTC Autumn, 1904: Sorry for the double post...
18 Dec 09 UTC Autumn, 1904: Really? It might just be you talking about whatever you're referring to. =P
18 Dec 09 UTC Autumn, 1904: I guess we'll find out once Austria chimes in. :p
19 Dec 09 UTC Autumn, 1904: i was actually referring to the potential glitch.... but if Turkey is fine to proceed then I guess it's problem solved.
26 Dec 09 UTC Spring, 1906: Italy, you are killing me here...
26 Dec 09 UTC Spring, 1906: Hey, I *tried* to get you to work with me. :P
28 Dec 09 UTC Spring, 1906: Gents my son is in the hospital; I humbly request a pause after the current phase
28 Dec 09 UTC Spring, 1906: Of course. Hope he's well.
29 Dec 09 UTC Spring, 1906: sorry to her that Stratatgos. Russia would you mind processing the retreat order before the pause?
29 Dec 09 UTC Spring, 1906: sorry to her that Stratatgos. Russia would you mind processing the retreat order before the pause?
29 Dec 09 UTC Spring, 1906: her = hear (shocking spelling!)
29 Dec 09 UTC Spring, 1906: Of course we will pause, and I wish you and your son all the best.
29 Dec 09 UTC Autumn, 1906: llama, your GFDT 2008 page is all screwed up. Could we have it mended?
29 Dec 09 UTC Autumn, 1906: Oh yeah, what happens if there is a draw? I remember something about the highest ranked player taking it, right?
29 Dec 09 UTC Autumn, 1906: No, its shared.
29 Dec 09 UTC Autumn, 1906: They what does pre-final ranking determine? (I know it is something)
29 Dec 09 UTC Autumn, 1906: The positions of those who don't win.
29 Dec 09 UTC Autumn, 1906: Ghost is correct.

As for the tournament page, thanks for bringing it to my attention. Google's forced move to sites killed my embedded Javascript so I'll have to relocate. I'll take care of it in the next couple days (at work now and the coming days are busy).
29 Dec 09 UTC Autumn, 1906: FYI, I've forced the pause so there will be sufficient time for diplomacy after the unpause.
30 Dec 09 UTC Autumn, 1906: Gents, I appreciate your support. We're all home and my son appears to be ok - he had difficulty breathing in the crystal clear air of southern california, but he appears to be on the mend.
31 Dec 09 UTC Autumn, 1906: keep him well away from Hong Kong then..... but glad everything is sorted.
31 Dec 09 UTC Autumn, 1906: regarding scoring.... i was under the impression that in the event of a draw the ranking of previous round determined the winner. I am pretty sure some of you were under similar illusions (Akroma certainly was). If it's shared that's fine.... just need to know.
31 Dec 09 UTC Autumn, 1906: If you look back at the email I sent out late October and the follow up emails between Ghost and I (that you guys were copied on), you'll see we talked about this very scenario. It's been quite a while since then, so I figure time and the fact that the scoring for this round is different from the others would account for the misunderstanding.
04 Jan 10 UTC Autumn, 1906: I could have sworn I put in Tyrrhenian to Naples...darn.
04 Jan 10 UTC Autumn, 1906: You did....
04 Jan 10 UTC Autumn, 1906: you just wanted to go to Tunis instead ;)
04 Jan 10 UTC Autumn, 1906: Whoops, I typed what was I looking at not what I was thinking, heh.
07 Jan 10 UTC Spring, 1907: It was nice participating. May the best diplomat win.
08 Jan 10 UTC Spring, 1907: Unlucky Chrispminis - thanks for playing, always a pleasure.
10 Jan 10 UTC Autumn, 1907: Ok, a total of 3 units actually moved out of 34...
10 Jan 10 UTC Autumn, 1907: And Braveheart has voted Cancel??
10 Jan 10 UTC Autumn, 1907: Haha what happened here?
10 Jan 10 UTC Autumn, 1907: Having killed you, we felt there was no reason in continuing the game. ;)
10 Jan 10 UTC Autumn, 1907: The lack of activity made me forget about it I guess.
11 Jan 10 UTC Autumn, 1907: Well, we could all draw. :)
13 Jan 10 UTC I'm voting to draw. But nothing is really happening in the west, I think two of you should kill one of you.
13 Jan 10 UTC Get some bottle yourself!
13 Jan 10 UTC I've voted draw because the tournament is late finishing and I'm rather too busy at the moment to commit to it.
13 Jan 10 UTC looks like it's up to Austria
13 Jan 10 UTC The Champions' Trophy Invitations will be, if this draw goes ahead:

Leagues:
Polar Bear-Champion
Braveheart-Runner-up, GFDT champion
TheMasterGamer-Third
TheGhostmaker-1st Place League A, GFDT Champion
Darwyn- GFDT Champion
stratagos- GFDT Champion
Centurian- GFDT Champion

I don't propose starting until after a good rest for us all.
13 Jan 10 UTC I was about to say - I'm taking a *pass* on another game, thank you very much! ;)
13 Jan 10 UTC Well, I'll be asking in a month or so's time
14 Jan 10 UTC hmm - rather dissappointing end .... pretty much fizzled out!! but i recognise that no-one else seems interested so lets put everyone out of their misery!!!
