02 Sep 14 UTC Spring, 1999: Good luck everyone! Remember: the right hand always knows what the left hand is doing as us texians use to say.
06 Sep 14 UTC Spring, 2000: Haha, think you mean texans.
07 Sep 14 UTC Spring, 2000: Texians refers to the Republic of Texas whereas Texan refers to the state of Texas. It depends of the OPs idiom comes from the earlier or later period of Texas's history
07 Sep 14 UTC Spring, 2000: Wow, we'll pardon me.
08 Sep 14 UTC Autumn, 2000: did not know that
08 Sep 14 UTC Autumn, 2000: Haha, I didn't, and I live in Texas.
10 Sep 14 UTC Autumn, 2000: Haha, greenland's green
11 Sep 14 UTC Autumn, 2000: Wow
11 Sep 14 UTC Autumn, 2000: Sorry, I know , bad joke.
11 Sep 14 UTC Autumn, 2000: Actually it was so bad I couldn't stop laughing
11 Sep 14 UTC Autumn, 2000: All the better then!
11 Sep 14 UTC Autumn, 2000: GameMaster: imandytaco was banned: multi/meta/no reply. The time until the next phase has been extended by one phase length to give an opportunity to replace the player.
Remember to finalize your orders if you don't want to wait, so the game isn't held up unnecessarily!
02 Oct 14 UTC Autumn, 2002: What is worse in Diplomacy? Someone who leaves a game, unbalancing it, or the person who checks in but doesn't bother to put in orders and holds up the game?
17 Oct 14 UTC Autumn, 2004: Pretty much half the players dropped out, I am voting to draw, hope everyone else joins in. We all gain.
18 Oct 14 UTC Autumn, 2004: Ok, well I guess we pressure Cuba and Florida to draw.
Cuba has had Peru and Mexico drop, (and now even getting Texas points for free
) and basically unbalanced the South.
18 Oct 14 UTC Autumn, 2004: And half of Florida's points are off dropped players
(Heartland and Texas).
18 Oct 14 UTC Autumn, 2004: Hey, now. I've only snagged 2 centers after Texas dropped out. All the others were gained before Heartland and Texas dropped out.
18 Oct 14 UTC Autumn, 2004: That great 3 center stab was all fair.
18 Oct 14 UTC Autumn, 2004: That great 3 center stab was all fair.
18 Oct 14 UTC Autumn, 2004: Cool, so you agree to draw?
18 Oct 14 UTC Autumn, 2004: Because you agree Cuba got unbalanced.
18 Oct 14 UTC Autumn, 2004: Seems like BC is all about the draw now because his stab of California wasn't as successful as he would have liked.
18 Oct 14 UTC Autumn, 2004: Cuba doesn't like being called out for her free ride. Ok, NY ready to turn against Florida until she turns against Cuba? NY- you are either fighting for two points in the north (greenland and ungava.) or can turn south and force them to draw.
18 Oct 14 UTC Autumn, 2004: I'm fine holding ground in San Fran. Realistically California wasn't going to hold up well as Cuba swallowed "another" dead player-Mexico, and bits of Texas.
She can turn on Florida or Florida can turn, either way- draw is the best option, because the game isn't fun with so many dropped players now.
18 Oct 14 UTC Autumn, 2004: You're ignoring the possibility for NY to help wipe you off the map and just draw between the rest of us. We have the advantage on you, mate.

All three of us bet more than you to take over these countries. You have the most to gain from a draw. ;)
18 Oct 14 UTC Autumn, 2004: Yeah BC. It kinda sucks when you're all alone on the board, especially after turning against your last remaining friend. Good luck.
19 Oct 14 UTC Autumn, 2004: New york will never get the points up north, so despite your rhetoric, he will have to do something else. sit tight while Cuba and Florida expand west? Not if he is smart.
Besides we agreed long ago on a Quebec/Montreal border.

In any case, if you all want to wait another week or two before drawing, thats fine, it will just not be as exciting as starting another game without people dropping out. I have always drawn a game when half the players have dropped out.

And points are not as important as pulling a win or draw.
19 Oct 14 UTC Autumn, 2004: True, we did originally agree on a Montreal Quebec boarder...
08 Nov 14 UTC Autumn, 2007: Okay, guys. I'm getting bored. Shall we remove Heartland and California and call it a day?
09 Nov 14 UTC Autumn, 2007: Sounds good.
09 Nov 14 UTC Autumn, 2007: You have my vote.
09 Nov 14 UTC Spring, 2008: Game doesn't seem as boring now.
11 Nov 14 UTC Spring, 2008: Balls.
18 Nov 14 UTC Spring, 2009: Putting in my vote for a draw.
18 Nov 14 UTC Spring, 2009: I'll draw when either Florida or myself is eliminated. Game on.
18 Nov 14 UTC Spring, 2009: Well, at least that makes it easy for me to decide which side I want to be on.
18 Nov 14 UTC Spring, 2009: Here's to another three months getting to the end of this game :)
18 Nov 14 UTC Spring, 2009: You can whittle away at the guy with 20 SCs in the corner, or you can chainsaw massacre the guy with 17 SCs in the middle. Your choice.
18 Nov 14 UTC Spring, 2009: One is surely faster than the other.
18 Nov 14 UTC Spring, 2009: Tell you what, prove we can trust you to vote draw and we I will turn on Florida. Just put up your vote draw to prove you will and you have a deal... :D
18 Nov 14 UTC Spring, 2009: BC, wanna race?
I'll take AZ, NM, OK, AR, TN, NC and the eastern seaboard.
You take NV, UT, CO, KS, MO and everything above the Ohio River.
Deal?
19 Nov 14 UTC Spring, 2009: Yawn.
19 Nov 14 UTC Spring, 2009: Yawn.
19 Nov 14 UTC Spring, 2009: How about you race to a draw.

Hypothetically I go nutso and waste time collecting SC from florida while you attack him.

YOU ARE A LOT CLOSER TO 34 SCs than me. Do the math, I'd never get there, you would.

Seriously pull your finger out and draw.
19 Nov 14 UTC Spring, 2009: Well then. I guess you all can decide the pace at which we proceed. I'm Ready.
19 Nov 14 UTC Spring, 2009: Autumn, 2004: "Yeah BC. It kinda sucks when you're all alone on the board, especially after turning against your last remaining friend. Good luck."

I love that quote.
20 Nov 14 UTC Spring, 2009: Yeah, that's a classic. Get ready for Pax Cubana.
26 Nov 14 UTC GG.
26 Nov 14 UTC Good game.
