The time until the next phase has been extended by one phase length to give an opportunity to replace the player. Remember to finalize your orders if you don't want to wait, so the game isn't held up unnecessarily!

31 Jul 14 UTC	Autumn, 2003: There are a number of reasons to join a state in a disadvantaged position. I imagine the person who joined was trying to improve their diplomacy skills in some manner. I personally have joined one and two SC states (granted in the standard map), and have never been defeated while doing so. Then again I have also never soloed when doing so, so there is that. But it does appear that as of right now, Peru is in trouble. Of course, I am under attack from you right now, so I would be unable to offer Peru any sanctuary, had Peru sought it from me. Hope you are having a good day New York. And everybody else for that matter. Make it a great day.

07 Aug 14 UTC	Autumn, 2004: When a player checks in on a game that they have "missed a phase", WebDiplomacy resets their phases, whether they make a move or not.

12 Aug 14 UTC	Autumn, 2006: I am decidedly less happy that the convoy worked. It looks like I will not be long for the world. I will continue to play this one out of course, but I look forward to seeing any and all of you in future games.

13 Aug 14 UTC	Autumn, 2006: I apologize for missing that turn. I was quite busy with life and I just missed the timer. It is rather unfortunate that Mexico decided to stab me. It does seem like he can go for the solo now.
13 Aug 14 UTC	Autumn, 2006: I saw that you were going to miss the turn so I changed my orders. Didn't want to just sit and watch everyone else get your centers. I am not even close to a solo so no worries about that.
16 Aug 14 UTC	Autumn, 2007: Well, I have proposed a draw. Perhaps the rest of you believe that a draw (or at least a four person draw [now that Cuba has fallen into CD]) is not the ideal finish. That is of course understandable. From where I am sitting it looks fairly ideal for me. :)
