15 Jun 14 UTC Good game, all. Way to stop the solo at the last possible second. As it was I had a 50/50 shot at Tunis, but you outguessed me. I wonder if things would've gone differently had I not misordered my army from Vienna to Bohemia '04. If that unit had ended up in Tyrolia as I had intended I would've been into Venice from Trieste that fall, forcing an Italian disband and allowing me to build a second fleet. Anyway, it was a fun game. Thanks for organizing, Maniac.
15 Jun 14 UTC Good game guys, and thanks for setting it up, Maniac.

I thought the solo was coming in '07. Moving Ion->TYS, Alb->Ion that Autumn would have disbanded Italy's last fleet and left you in position to move on Tunis with support.

I did plenty of my own stumbling and bumbling, particularly my fake convoy from Den to Hol, which drew France in to Ruhr (my assumption), killing any chance I had of getting my offense going. My taking part in to the draw had as much to do with location then anything else.
15 Jun 14 UTC Yeah, trip. That was my other big mistake. Had I done as you suggest--or just bounced the army from Marseilles so he couldn't build a fleet there--I would've had it. I was mistakenly confident that France wouldn't get a build that year if I kept him out of Tunis, which is why I did what I did. In retrospect it was a big error.
15 Jun 14 UTC Otoh, the only reason Tunis mattered was that Russia handed me St. Pete for no discernible reason.
15 Jun 14 UTC Good game guys :)
Agree with Sanctacaris about Tunis. And as for retrospective view, the rearview mirror is always clear; on the other end the windshield is always foggy. ;)
