08 Mar 14 UTC Autumn, 1902: lol...yeah. I don't blame you turkey. I get bored at my desk, and when I am on my meds I get a bit to "into character." I felt pretty sheepish about that thing almost immediately after posting it. With regards to Germany, I have no idea. I tried to see if I could get a hold of him to remind him to move before this round, but I don't actually know the guy, so I didn't have much luck. Does anybody know Germany in real life?
08 Mar 14 UTC Autumn, 1902: Nope- he's a co-worker of a friend.
09 Mar 14 UTC Autumn, 1902: I can't believe no one is fighting France.
09 Mar 14 UTC Autumn, 1902: I can't believe no one is fighting Italy
09 Mar 14 UTC Autumn, 1902: I am. He just hasn't realized it yet.
09 Mar 14 UTC Autumn, 1902: Yeah I consider myself to be fighting turkey

09 Mar 14 UTC Autumn, 1902: Sorry
09 Mar 14 UTC Autumn, 1902: Austrian proverb: the Italian knife cuts deepest

09 Mar 14 UTC Autumn, 1902: No biggie, I stated my terms knowing this was likely. I might have let me do more dmg to turkey first, but to each their own.
10 Mar 14 UTC Autumn, 1902: And now we wait for Germany to log back in.
11 Mar 14 UTC Autumn, 1902: This will be a lot of weakness if the one guy no one knows fucks the game up by never moving or logging in
11 Mar 14 UTC Autumn, 1902: Hmm, if only there had been a plan in place that would have let one country focus on his publically-announced campaign in the Balkans while supporting some other country's campaign to breach home production centers of the guy who know one knows but is slowing down the game. Hmmm.... I wonder why that never happened.... lol
11 Mar 14 UTC Autumn, 1902: And don't think I didn't notice some other big purple country support a hold in Rumania just because I took it anyway. Tsk tsk. Well, I can't seek vengeance on two fronts, and I will surely be out of the game soon enough, but I can imagine who Turkey is coming after next, and he should have the strength to make a good show of it. We'll see. Things getting interesting indeed.
12 Mar 14 UTC Spring, 1903: Do you see what happens, Larry?
12 Mar 14 UTC Spring, 1903: I don't know which one of these guys is Larry (Sup Larry? How's it hangin?), but I do see that both of the betrayers of the proud nation of Austria have begun to feel the promised consequences. And as promised, their adjacent rivals seem to be flourishing - The Archduke toasts the good fortunes of Turkey and France!
12 Mar 14 UTC Spring, 1903: In the end, we're all Larry.
12 Mar 14 UTC Spring, 1903: My girlfriend just sent this to me:

13 Mar 14 UTC Autumn, 1903: Well, Germany officially left. Thanks for nothing dude.
13 Mar 14 UTC Autumn, 1903: WWI without Germany is like a Kate Winslet movie without nudity.

14 Mar 14 UTC Autumn, 1903: Hey, just out of curiosity, since we seem to have these sorts of issues from time to time, how is it determined which unit is dismantled or created if a player doesn't make a selection. With unit creation, I suspect it is just tough luck, but with destroying units I would guess that it favors units on or near home production centers?
14 Mar 14 UTC Autumn, 1903: Yes - it will automatically eliminate the furthest units from home centers.
14 Mar 14 UTC Autumn, 1903: Has Russia now stopped playing too?
14 Mar 14 UTC Spring, 1904: Apparently not - but he's still at sxsw I think - and that's only ramping up in the next 48 hours. Probably will have more like this....

14 Mar 14 UTC Spring, 1904: Wish I had been right about eliminated units. Damn.
15 Mar 14 UTC Spring, 1904: Guys 3 people are now no longer participating ... I'm all for continuing this, I suppose, but I could also see an argument in favor of canceling or calling it a draw... We really should have had 7 players at the beginning. What does everybody else think?
15 Mar 14 UTC Spring, 1904: Draw
15 Mar 14 UTC Spring, 1904: Austria is still in the game, he just thought the move wasn't until later in the afternoon today. Jacob, what if you send out a group email to everyone stressing that they committed to the game and have an obligation to participate?
15 Mar 14 UTC Spring, 1904: Jacob wants a draw because the gains from his first offensive are slipping. Easy for me to say, I'm bordered by two guys who stopped playing, which makes global conquest much easier... I'm down for whatever... If we drop this game, I wouldn't mind getting another going.
15 Mar 14 UTC Spring, 1904: I'm not voting for a draw at this point. We've invested too much work and thought into the game, and we have four really excellent, committed players. I think we can wake up Austria and Russia.
16 Mar 14 UTC Spring, 1904: Hey everybody. I'm sorry that I helped provoke a discussion of a draw. I didn't intend to mis my turn. I fucked up and thought that the moves today weren't going to go until the 3-4 range, so I just didn't check until I gotta text when the moves process. I'm for whatever the group wants to do, but don't count Austria out.
16 Mar 14 UTC Russia has officially left. I'm voting for a pause so we have time to discuss what to do.
17 Mar 14 UTC At this point I would think the England v France battle looming would be the only reason to continue.
17 Mar 14 UTC it won't pause unless everyone votes such FYI
17 Mar 14 UTC So I just pressed pause based on Jacob's comment. Was that the right thing to do? With regards to if we should keep playing. I could go either way. I think that Germany and Russia kinda screwed things up, but the Italy/Austria soap opera could have balanced it out, where Turkey, France, and UK are playing to win, and (at least for now) Italy and I are trying to maneuver ourselves into part of a stalemate-alliance of some kind. Honestly, I lost a little bit enthusiasm with that stupid missed turn I made, but I had a weird weekend, and now that we are back in the week, I'm sure I can muster up plenty to keep playing. Really, though, I am the smallest power on the board at present, so I will follow the will of the major parties.
17 Mar 14 UTC I'd be down for re-starting - we could add my friend Conor who has played before and doesn't have a lot going on at the moment. Also, brother Tucker said he was interested but he's a wild card.
17 Mar 14 UTC Now three aren't playing?
17 Mar 14 UTC Also, why can't my army in Trieste retreat to Venice?
18 Mar 14 UTC I missed a turn because of business travel. What's the deal? Are we calling this off?
18 Mar 14 UTC If we do, we should start a new one. I'm about to get destroyed so either way is fine with me.
18 Mar 14 UTC Fuck it. Let's call it off and start fresh. Count me in.
18 Mar 14 UTC I agree, let's do it again, but I think we should take this to e-mail to sort out who the 2 new players should be.
18 Mar 14 UTC If everyone votes for a draw, I think it will end
18 Mar 14 UTC *reluctantly pulls trigger*

I hope I draw Turkey again. I love it down here.
18 Mar 14 UTC It's possible that everyone needs to unpause as well?
19 Mar 14 UTC okay, I voted for the draw.
