24 Feb 14 UTC Autumn, 1902: I think this is about the point in a given war Italy is supposed to switch sides. But I'm supposed to have been allied with the Central Powers in the first place. So this is confusing.
24 Feb 14 UTC Autumn, 1902: It's Diplomacy, you can switch sides at any time!
24 Feb 14 UTC Autumn, 1902: Austria wishes to remind the world that we sound very much like "Australia," and there are spiders there.

So. Watch out.
25 Feb 14 UTC Spring, 1903: England, we should have been united from the start. We are similarly doomed.
25 Feb 14 UTC Spring, 1903: PARIS NEWS AGENCY!

French ships occupied England for its own protection, liberating the Anglo-Saxons from generations of horrible cooking and worst dentistry. The Paris News Agency is pleased to announce that Londoners are racuously celebrating their "liberation" in the streets.

In other news, Russian forces retook the Crimea from the hated Turks, while Austria continues its rape of poor, defenseless Italy. The world gasps with horror at tales of Austrian atrocities in Venice and Athens, but no one of course will do much about it.

Finally, English pirates descended on Norway and Holland, stealing women and loot with wanton abandon.

This has been the totally-not-biased-at-all Paris News Agency, reporting.
25 Feb 14 UTC Spring, 1903: Ravioli ravioli give me the formuoli!
25 Feb 14 UTC Spring, 1903: Tis true. The sun has set for the Union Jack. The exiled forces will of course fight on, but there is little cheer in His Majestie's government.
25 Feb 14 UTC Spring, 1903: There would probably be more cheer if they hadn't tried helping the dirty Ruskies in Sweden. Just sayin'. Helping Ruskies saps you of a lot of cheer.
25 Feb 14 UTC Autumn, 1903: The English government in exile would like to thank the good citizens of Kiel for their hospitality. Please think of the dynamited ruins we leave behind as a tribute to our confidence in the German people's ability to rebuild.
25 Feb 14 UTC Autumn, 1903: I would just like to say that we Russians are a friendly lot. In fact, I am predicting that in 111 years, we will be hosting a thing called the Winter Olympics, where athletes from around the world can come and enjoy our (underwhelming and unprepared) accommodations!
25 Feb 14 UTC Autumn, 1903: Bring it on, world.
25 Feb 14 UTC Autumn, 1903: So, France, gg no re?
25 Feb 14 UTC Autumn, 1903: Oh, hey, I'm sitting here at parity. Bet 10 coins, I'll win 10 coins. Y'all are cool with ending the game here, right? Right?
25 Feb 14 UTC Autumn, 1903: I'll actually come out ahead, so sure, why not.

(But seriously, every turn this game has been so topsy-turvy. Who knows who'll be leading three years from now?)
25 Feb 14 UTC Autumn, 1903: NOT ME.

I'LL FIGHT EVERYONE ON THIS MAP.
25 Feb 14 UTC Autumn, 1903: NOT ME.

I'LL FIGHT EVERYONE ON THIS MAP.
25 Feb 14 UTC Autumn, 1903: Alright, Russia, that means it's time for you to make a dive for Vienna. I look forward to seeing it.
25 Feb 14 UTC Autumn, 1903: It won't be England, this is last call. Drink some warm beer in my honor.
25 Feb 14 UTC Autumn, 1903: Italy will emerge victorious.
25 Feb 14 UTC Autumn, 1903: It won't be England, this is last call. Drink some warm beer in my honor.
25 Feb 14 UTC Spring, 1904: We shall never subject ourselves to English swill!
25 Feb 14 UTC Spring, 1904: Project yourself then.:D
25 Feb 14 UTC Spring, 1904: SPRING 1904 update from the Paris News Agency!

Our faithful boys in blue liberated Scotland and Tunisia last year, freeing the land from the cruel Scottish and Tunisian tyrants who claimed the land was somehow rightfully "theirs." In addition, French forces went into joint action alongside Italian forces, liberating a charred and ruined Venice from Hapsburg occupiers.

In other news, the English pirates terrorizing Germany were at last destroyed, while the Sultan burst out of Bulgaria to seize both Greece and the Crimea, restoring the Ottoman Empire to much of its former glory.

Also the Russians successfully occupied the pathetically armed Sweden and rolled into southern Germany.

VIVA FRANCE

- Paris News Agency
25 Feb 14 UTC Autumn, 1904: After a final visit to Edinburgh to remove hidden treasure and the people who owned such hidden treasure, His Majestie's Government in Exile has chosen to move the seat of Empire to India. There we shall rebuild, one day to return. In the meantime, smoking is bad, don't do it.
25 Feb 14 UTC Spring, 1905: The pasta is not what it seems to be. Heed my warning.
25 Feb 14 UTC Spring, 1905: I see a lot of French war crimes in the future. (Because that's how the French roll.) I warned the leaders of Italy, but they wouldn't listen. I beg his holyness to flee now, before the godless Francs take Rome itself.
26 Feb 14 UTC Spring, 1905: Isn't a bit rich, Protestant England of all nations having the cheek to accuse NOUS of being godless? Monsieur, we resemble that remark! The Premier is ordering all French fleets to make steam for India!
27 Feb 14 UTC Autumn, 1905: One is concerned that our German brethren are inadequately enthused for their coming demise.
27 Feb 14 UTC Autumn, 1905: Next turn: NWG -> Norway, NOR ->Hol, Bur -> Bel

:D

Oh, wait, SECRECY, right. No one tell Germany.
27 Feb 14 UTC Autumn, 1905: Our Italian blood shall be spilled in the name of something or other, that our comrades so hideously betrayed by Austria shall not have died in vain.
27 Feb 14 UTC Spring, 1906: What is going in Italy is a peaceful transfer of power by the grateful Italian citizens to their French liberators. What you see are the feeble protests of a few revanchist malcontents! Pay no attention to them!
27 Feb 14 UTC Spring, 1906: Dear Ethiopia,

While we apologize for our usurpation of your sovereignty, the government of Italy would like to assure you that we shall leave your fair shores when our long struggle with the tyrants of Europe has concluded.
27 Feb 14 UTC Spring, 1906: England gets India, Italy gets Ethiopia? Hardly seems fair. Poor pasta...
27 Feb 14 UTC Autumn, 1906: To be fair, Italy lost its initial chance at Ethiopia in the 1890's. Never eat pasta less than an hour before battle.
28 Feb 14 UTC Autumn, 1906: RUSSIA MY FRIEND, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
28 Feb 14 UTC Autumn, 1906: Forgot that ownership doesn't transfer until the autumn.

Whoops.
28 Feb 14 UTC Spring, 1907: THE FRENCH VILLAINS CANNOT DEFEAT THE CHOSEN PEOPLE.
01 Mar 14 UTC Autumn, 1907: Goodnight, cruel world.
02 Mar 14 UTC Autumn, 1907: Austria and I would like and end put to us, I think. Germany ought to get its ass in gear.
02 Mar 14 UTC Autumn, 1907: END IT
02 Mar 14 UTC Autumn, 1907: The Russian people would appreciate it if they were allowed to keep Livonia as a purple space the remainder of the game.
02 Mar 14 UTC Autumn, 1907: PUT ME TO DEATH
03 Mar 14 UTC Autumn, 1907: france pls kill me
03 Mar 14 UTC Autumn, 1907: I think this might be what is known as a draw.
03 Mar 14 UTC Autumn, 1907: The Triple Alliance, having dismembered the unsuspecting other powers, may wish to divide the world between themselves at this point, before the children ask why Mommy and Daddy are fighting.
06 Mar 14 UTC Autumn, 1910: French sailors salute the brave men of the Ottoman navy. The fierce struggle for the Ionian will be remembered for all time in Paris!
06 Mar 14 UTC Autumn, 1910: BURN THE TURKS
06 Mar 14 UTC Spring, 1911: You...you racist!
06 Mar 14 UTC Spring, 1911: Says Germany.
06 Mar 14 UTC Spring, 1911: Don't worry, Austria, you shall be avenged! France is so selfless.
