28 Aug 09 UTC Spring, 1901: Hello all, Ive been playing Diplomacy for many years, but this is my first game online. I'm already hooked hehe! Best of luck o everyone.
28 Aug 09 UTC Spring, 1901: I also have a newbie question - the checks next to the countries names mean that they have finalized their moves? Once everyone finalizes, do the moves automatically get registered, or does the site wait until "next phase" count-down end?
28 Aug 09 UTC Spring, 1901: Hi Muni, Ive been playing for 20 years (tho havent played for 5 years or so as a couldnt find enough people to play FtF). Just started playing online as well, so not sure what the answer to your question is.
28 Aug 09 UTC Spring, 1901: Hi Zman. I am also wondering what the circles next to country's names (at the top of the screen) mean. I understand the little letter icon (means tha country has messaged you), but not sure what the circle directly to the right of the country's name means. Sorry, this should probably be posted on the forums, but I feel I have a captive audience here hehe.
28 Aug 09 UTC Spring, 1901: Yes, If everyone finalizes then the turn will end and go to the next one. So it is a good rule of etiquette to finalize if you already made your talks with other players and decided your actions
28 Aug 09 UTC Spring, 1901: The circle means that the player is online at the moment
28 Aug 09 UTC Spring, 1901: I'm not sure what the dots mean. I thought they corresponded to who has finalized their moves (i.e. the checks at the bottom). But Italy has finalized its moves and I dont see a dot next to its name. I agree you should probably post this question in the forums, and leave this space for specific game related issues.
28 Aug 09 UTC Spring, 1901: Ok thanks Turkey. Since Germany and Austria are not online at the moment, and they havent finalized their moves, I guess we have to wait?
28 Aug 09 UTC Spring, 1901: Yes, we need to wait for their finalization or until the end of the 22 hours. If in 22 hours they don´t finalize then they will enter in civil disorder.
28 Aug 09 UTC Spring, 1901: Green dot means online within the last 10 minutes
28 Aug 09 UTC Spring, 1901: Ok so we are all in except Germany and Ausria? Sorry, im just new and excited for the next move!!
28 Aug 09 UTC Spring, 1901: Looks like we just need Ausria now...I'm also new and excited hehe...
28 Aug 09 UTC Spring, 1901: Come on Austria, lets get this puppy moving!!
28 Aug 09 UTC Spring, 1901: Ok Austria...youre killing me mate hehe!!
28 Aug 09 UTC Spring, 1901: Ok 2am here so, going to sleep. Hopefully Austia will have made its move by the time I wake up.
29 Aug 09 UTC Spring, 1901: I dare say our Austrian friend has forgotten us....
29 Aug 09 UTC Spring, 1901: Looks like it
29 Aug 09 UTC Spring, 1901: Has anyone even had any communication with Ploting? He would have missed the deadline if the deadline had not been extended. Not sure how this works, but can we get someone else to take over Austria? If he doesnt play, it messes up the game a little. What is civil disorder?
29 Aug 09 UTC Spring, 1901: I'd like to know that also
01 Sep 09 UTC Spring, 1903: Hello. I was wondering whther we could asist each other in breaking the stalemate in the north
01 Sep 09 UTC Spring, 1903: Umm, is that something you planned to put on global? hehe
02 Sep 09 UTC Spring, 1903: Hi there!
02 Sep 09 UTC Spring, 1903: My name is Adarsh, and this is my first time playing. It's good to meet you all :)
02 Sep 09 UTC Spring, 1903: Well Adarsh, welcome. Kind of a crappy geo-political position to walk in on as your first time, but I applaude yor enthusiasm!
02 Sep 09 UTC Spring, 1903: Italy, please finalize your moves. Thanks!
03 Sep 09 UTC Autumn, 1903: Austria, plz finalize! Thanks
03 Sep 09 UTC Autumn, 1903: haha, give him a break. he just inherited the worst game ever! that being said, i agree he/she should finalize.
03 Sep 09 UTC Autumn, 1903: Ok so not to be dick, but why doesnt he?? Austria...Plz finalize!!
03 Sep 09 UTC Autumn, 1903: You can see down below he hasn't been to the site since last night. I'm guessing that when/if he eventually comes back, he will finalize.
04 Sep 09 UTC Autumn, 1903: Guys, it seems that I have far too erratic a schedule to continue playing. (The life of a college student...). Wish you all the best.
06 Sep 09 UTC Autumn, 1904: It seems all Adarshp did was to give Austria to Russia.
06 Sep 09 UTC Autumn, 1904: Yes.
