21 Nov 13 UTC Spring, 1901: Bonne chance everybody :)
22 Nov 13 UTC Spring, 1901: Best of luck!
24 Nov 13 UTC Spring, 1902: I want to make this public, even though it really only concerns Germany, Russia and England.

There is a developing situation in Scandinavia. For now, Germany is not assisting either side, and this policy will remain in place until further notice.

Germany will continue to hold and defend Denmark as a part of Germany, but Germany will not support either Russia or England in Norway/Sweden/Finland. If either Russia or England threatens Germany, we will immediately align with the opposing side. Germany will view a fleet in either the Baltic or Skag as a threat to Germany (unless permission has been granted to move there) and Germany will immediately align with the opposing side.
25 Nov 13 UTC Spring, 1902: Neutrality is for Switzerland

16 Dec 13 UTC Hello Guys, There is nothing more I could do than propose you a Draw. It was a very interesting game and I have to thanks you for the incredible fight and decisions you made. Turkey, we where that >< close to convinct to stab Russia and this was really the turning of this game. You deserve the victory no one could stop you for this. (Liverpol just told me there is an issue about somes port taxes you didn't pay thus you should leave the area, but should be fixes by next year).
Hope to see you in another game, you dammit opponent :-)
16 Dec 13 UTC Thanks for the game. My first win! :D Special thanks to Russia, thank you my friend. Hope to see you in another game
16 Dec 13 UTC GG Turkey and thanks for the game :-)
16 Dec 13 UTC EOG RUSSIA

Firstly, thanks to all the Players who partook of this Game and made it a success, except for the Player of France who was un-committal and dropped out early after mis-ordering in 1901. This was a spineless resignation since France could have bounced back to 5 SC's in 1902 and played a significant part.

Secondly, let me say that whilst Turkey characterised me as "friend" in his EOG, the use of the word "friend" is very much in the way of meaning - a new found friend. I do wish to assure all Players and watchers that there is no meta-gaming here, none whatsoever. I've never met the player of Turkey before, and interestingly the proof would be that - if you could look behind the screens and into the Presses between us - you would see that relations between Russia + Turkey were not particularly warm, or even lengthy with much discussion. It was quite business-like and simply with the occasional request for Orders from one party to the other. This explains how England and Germany were able to put pressure on Turkey and nearly break the Juggernaut successfully at one point.

Now for the EOG part. I've never been part of a successful Juggernaut. I decided to open Russia to the North and try to play a strong hand in Scandivia, whilst remaining non-committed in the South and then come out and Ally with whoever was looking good in the South out of Austria / Turkey. This early strategy was immediately thwarted by England's Northern opening. England and me were all set for a major conflict in the north.
In the south - Austria pulled off a very ungainly and ugly opening which involved him seizing RUM. It was a diplomatic coup for me to encourage him in 1901 (on threat of death) to return back to SER. With Austria also losing an SC to Italy - I decided to try to kill off Austria quickly and keep open possibilities with Turkey and Italy.

Meanwhile in the North a very strange thing happened - Germany made a declaration of neutrality that annoyed both his Northern neighbours. It was funny that England contacted me and we rapiudly agreed to drop our hostilities and invade Germany.

The game then continued to meander as Germany decided to move to the West to occupy France and I was continuing the hammer away at Germany's north and Austria.

My option to go against Turkey with Italy seemed to evaporate when Italy lost the ION. I decided at this point that Italy didn't have enough leverage to be able to takeout Turkey with me.

Later in the mid-game, England co-opted Germany into an excellent resistance in the North and nearly took back the whole of Scandinavia. At this point also when Turkey moved to stab me, this was truly a point where I feared whether I would survive this Game ! At this point however - I managed to talk Turkey down from the stab. (And as a note to you Turkey - I think the stab would have been the best result for England and not for you. I would've attacked Turkey all out and ceded everything to England and Germany, resulting in England taking the upper hand)

I tried to get England onside but he continued to resist me for the rest of the Game. This was what stopped me from going for the Win. If I tried to stab Turkey and seize the Win, I just didn't think that this would be able to occurr and I would leave the Gate wide open for England to re-enter the Game as a serious contender. So I suppose it was a game that was defined by the rivalrly between England - Russia, and therefore I pushed my key Ally all the way to the win in order to ensure a good finish for Russia.

Thanks Turkey for the key alliance and congrats on the Win. And thanks for declining the stab. I have never before been part of the greatly feared Juggernaut - and to have driven a Jugg all the way in this Game is a first time for me and a real pleasure. Thanks also to England - a truly worthy opponent and great Diplomat. Germany - thanks to you also - you erred Diplomatically and seriously a few times but you also showed at times a deft-touch. I have tried to volunteer you some tips - in particular - try to stay friendly to everyone in 1901.........
