19 Aug 09 UTC Autumn, 1901: I'm moving into Venice.
19 Aug 09 UTC Autumn, 1901: Italy is up to no good, I'll tell you that.
27 Aug 09 UTC Spring, 1905: Nice try, Turkey. Now get ready to suffer Italy's fate.
30 Aug 09 UTC Autumn, 1905: Gentlemen, care to explain your presence in Tyrolia and Bohemia?
30 Aug 09 UTC Autumn, 1905: Do you care to explain _your_ presence in Venice, Smyrna, and Rumania?!?
30 Aug 09 UTC Autumn, 1905: ...ole chap... Fancy a bit o' tea and crumpets whilst we discuss the situation like civilized lads...
30 Aug 09 UTC Autumn, 1905: Nein! Keine Rede! Alles ist Krieg!
31 Aug 09 UTC Autumn, 1905: Sir, your declaration of an all-out war has earned you a place next to Italy and Turkey in the line of civilizations that shouldn't have messed with Austria! Prepare to be destroyed!
31 Aug 09 UTC Autumn, 1905: austria you are new to the site have you played on other sites or at home a lot cause this is not newbie diplomatic skill
31 Aug 09 UTC Autumn, 1905: Did Turkey mess with Austria? Did he even move?
31 Aug 09 UTC Spring, 1906: Oh wait... I'm not England, I'm France... uhm... would anyone like to discuss a three-way tie over a croissant and some brie? hou hou hou
31 Aug 09 UTC Spring, 1906: Hurry up and kill Italy and Turkey before I change my mind, Austria...
31 Aug 09 UTC Spring, 1906: Yes, Turkey attacked Austria (but failed).

Italy, this is the first game I'll ever finish. I tried the board game once and it took a long time to play just two turns. This is much better!

France, I'll gladly finish off Italy and Turkey but what do I do about Germany's tanks headed my way? He doesn't seem interested in talking over any croissants, baguettes or brie cheese that's so creamy and delicious as only the French can make it.
31 Aug 09 UTC Spring, 1906: All I said is that all is war. I never mentioned whom I intend to bring the German culture to.

Wen wähle ich, meine deutschen Bruder oder der Bastard, dass alle Hoffnung für mein Volk tötet, mit Stellungskrieg und leckere Baguettes?
31 Aug 09 UTC Spring, 1906: How could your delicious baguettes ever compete with the self-loathing, bitterness and world-weariness of true German Pumpernickel?

01 Sep 09 UTC Spring, 1906: Lassen Sie meine Baguetten im Ruehe
01 Sep 09 UTC Spring, 1906: Où finit l'intelligence, des baguettes de commencer.
01 Sep 09 UTC Spring, 1906: You already brought the uninvited German culture to Bohemia and I intend to rid it of you and your unwanted Pumpernickels!
01 Sep 09 UTC Spring, 1906: Bohemia has raised a statue in my honour! The entire province is dancing in the streets, singing merry songs.
01 Sep 09 UTC Autumn, 1906: what happens if Austria leave Bulgaria empty after every Autumn turn? Will Italy be stuck at 1 SC and 0 units?
01 Sep 09 UTC Autumn, 1906: Ya what if
01 Sep 09 UTC Autumn, 1906: If he moves out of Bulgaria, Italy can never build a new unit, but will survive until the end of the game.
01 Sep 09 UTC Autumn, 1906: Wow could steal a piece of a draw
01 Sep 09 UTC Autumn, 1906: there is no pumpernickel, there is no baguette, there is no draw... only war!!!!!
02 Sep 09 UTC Autumn, 1906: I hope that you will grab Venice at least!
02 Sep 09 UTC Autumn, 1906: Venice will stay mine. You called for nothing but war and insulted people's baguettes and you expect France to attack me? A very strange style of diplomacy indeed.
02 Sep 09 UTC Autumn, 1906: Well, I though that I and France had a thing going so all I wrote here was just joking :(
02 Sep 09 UTC I have a funnier joke: Why did the army cross the road? To get to Berlin.
02 Sep 09 UTC Alright alright... I feel really bad about betraying Germany now. Germany and I did have a good system worked out to DMZ the areas between us, but Austria convinced me that Germany wanted war with EVERYONE (including me), so that's what got me to be a jerk and break the non-aggression deal I had going on with Germany.

Now that it's down to three of us, and we're all pretty much even, I'm going to continue putting in orders, but I'm voting 'draw'.
03 Sep 09 UTC Don't feel bad about it. It's something I often do in Diplomacy in real life, but on the internet, no one can see the smiles, the rolling eyes, the ironic tone of voice.. So I shouldn't be doing it online. Because it can and will be misinterpreted. So no worries, it's not your fault. I gladly accept the draw though, let's see what Austria says!
03 Sep 09 UTC Alright, brothers. In the spirit of peace and goodwill that is sweeping through Europe, I declare a cessation of hostilities between Austria and Germany.
03 Sep 09 UTC Thank you, my Austrian friend. It's been fun, and I wish you the best of luck in your future games!
