26 Oct 13 UTC Spring, 1999: good luck guys
27 Oct 13 UTC Spring, 1999: GameMaster: Conejero was banned: multi. The time until the next phase has been extended by one phase length to give an opportunity to replace the player.
Remember to finalize your orders if you don't want to wait, so the game isn't held up unnecessarily!
27 Oct 13 UTC Spring, 1999: Good luck everyone
27 Oct 13 UTC Spring, 1999: It's odd that you used the term 'luck' in a game that doesn't require any luck whatsoever.
27 Oct 13 UTC Spring, 1999: I see we are off to a bad start already, Cuba...
27 Oct 13 UTC Spring, 1999: I'm not insulting you, I'm just saying that term is inappropriate in this context. Perhaps "May the best player win"?
27 Oct 13 UTC Spring, 1999: How diplomatic of you.
27 Oct 13 UTC Spring, 1999: you can be lucky in terms of the risks you take and the trust of your allies though e.g "Crap I left all my Northern Supply centres defenseless, but LUCKILY my ally hasn't taken advantage of this"
27 Oct 13 UTC Spring, 1999: May the odds be ever in your favor?
27 Oct 13 UTC Spring, 1999: I have had some lucky breaks in this game. Everyone has, and everyone knows it.
27 Oct 13 UTC Spring, 1999: Well California, no I will not help you. Quebec, watch your Manitoba!
27 Oct 13 UTC Spring, 1999: So are we going to wait for heartland? Or should I just ready up?
27 Oct 13 UTC Spring, 1999: Ready.
27 Oct 13 UTC Spring, 1999: midgame replacements don't happen enough to wait on
28 Oct 13 UTC Autumn, 1999: speaking of midgame replacements, welcome!
28 Oct 13 UTC Autumn, 1999: don't worry NY, I know of the situation in Manitoba.
28 Oct 13 UTC Autumn, 1999: Peru, that is mighty kind of you. And I take exception to the turn of phrase "Quebec, watch your Manitoba". It is true that Manitoba has a minority French speaking population, but then again so does Detroit (oops - bad example).

And to the great state of California, we say WELCOME! There is still a very narrow (but closing fast) path of real estate that you could follow to get to Minnesota. If you send an emissary we'll prepare a good old fashioned midwestern barbecue - any objection to bison burgers, bison wings and bison fries (we would say buffalo instead of bison but as we all know NEW YORK has too many underemployed lawyers and they've copy writed the term and we're afraid to get sued.
28 Oct 13 UTC Autumn, 1999: As an Australian, I have no idea what you mean by all of that...
28 Oct 13 UTC Autumn, 1999: Ah - cousin - in our neck of the woods we are known for our Buffalo wings (chicken wings, made on the barbee in a spicy tangy sauce), buffalo burgers (burgers made from the meat of a rather large lumbering and not overly bright bovine native to these parts) and Buffalo fries (a French (as in France, not as in Quebec) fried potato of enormous proportions). If your intentions are friendly, we invite you to come on down and visit us - we would be delighted to introduce you to the local delicacies.
28 Oct 13 UTC Autumn, 1999: well hello there Cuba, I too am an Aussie. Welcome mate
