28 Aug 13 UTC | Autumn, 4: This game fucked me over. I said Sinai to Alexandria, but instead it changed it for me and got me fucked. |
31 Aug 13 UTC | Spring, 6: Pretty BS that Rome just gives up and lets Carthage take him over. This quite could possibly be the worst game I've ever played in. I'm voting draw on those grounds, but don't expect Carthage to make the chivalrous decision, seeing as though the game's just been handed to him by his buddy. |
31 Aug 13 UTC | Spring, 6: I don't even know who Rome is so definitely not my buddy. You and Russia are not buddies, the map doesn't display that at all. Please remember what this game is called Diplomacy. Just so you know, it is just a game. The fact that you are making a big deal about it, makes me want to beat you and not draw. |
31 Aug 13 UTC | I'm saying that either way, Rome has given up and assisted you in taking his own SCs. You were in a good position beforehand, but now you've just been given the win. That's not what this game is about. Thanks for drawing though. |
31 Aug 13 UTC | First of all, I have absolutely no idea who Carthage is. Secondly what you did with Persia shows that you may be buddies in real life. In a normal game, Persia should have attacked Byzantium and Miletus ages ago while Greece was busy with Rome but instead, Persia chose to support Greece by working from Sarmatia even though this meant not having enough numbers of SCs and units to progress in south. I am not saying it's wrong to play with buddies, I am saying if you can't handle the defeat then don't play. As you, Greece, decided to attack me in Year 1, you are my biggest enemy in the game, as I can't win the game, my second best politics is to make sure my enemy does not win. Hence letting Carthage acquire enough SCs pronto. I have played only a handful games on this website but played the boardgame version long enough to know what is acceptable and what's not. This is a game and you are losing it. Get over it. It's a kids move to hit draw as soon as things start not going the way you planned. If you think what's happening is not fair, then open your eyes, the outside world is not fair either. Now that I got it out my chest I have no intentions of taking this further. Simply because, you are not going to change the way I think and I am not going to change the way you think, just by discussing this any more. Surprisingly even Carthage hit the draw button, therefore I will do it as well, to please everyone. Good luck in your other games. |
