27 Jul 13 UTC | Good game everyone. |
27 Jul 13 UTC | A few questions though since this was my first gun boat. Rome: why did you take such an offensive posture from the start? I thought I was making it pretty clear I wanted a peaceful border. The reason I turned on you was that I couldn't just sit there with potentially hostile units parked ontop of my home territories. Egypt: Why didn't you see my attempts to hold after the elimination of Persia as that I was willing to work together against Rome, but instead started a 2 front war? |
28 Jul 13 UTC | It was an excellent game. Greece: it was a question of choice. I had decided to go for an alliance with Carthage, and until a certain point it wasn't clear that he was going against me, although his nice gestures towards Egypt were certainly suspicious. Then I tried to make friends with you, but obviously it was hard to sign peace with my units all around your home centers. After Persia and Carthage were gone and Egypt became the solo threat, it was nice to see our cooperation work so well after all the fighting we had had before. Very well played! Egypt: you were so close! Maybe if you hadn't misordered that convoy in the last turn you could still have a shot at the win! |
