Game won by Barn3tt (41969 D)
05 Mar 13 UTC Spring, 1905: You voted to cancel the game. Good heavens.
05 Mar 13 UTC Spring, 1905: Tell it to the Turk
05 Mar 13 UTC Spring, 1905: Im out.
05 Mar 13 UTC Spring, 1905: I always vote to cancel if a major player has to leave early
05 Mar 13 UTC Spring, 1905: I'd very much prefer it to not be the case
05 Mar 13 UTC Spring, 1905: I'm gone too. Turk cancel this thing.
05 Mar 13 UTC Spring, 1905: Dang...
05 Mar 13 UTC Spring, 1905: It is 1905 and players have to go? Why sign up for a game then? This has hardly run long. I have very little sympathy for this.
05 Mar 13 UTC Spring, 1905: It's on 1905 but yet people STILL don't ready up that's why it's only 1905 hm?
05 Mar 13 UTC Spring, 1905: People save and make it twice as long
05 Mar 13 UTC Spring, 1905: I made this game at 315
05 Mar 13 UTC Spring, 1905: Well 2 hours 1 and a half hours ago its 5 were I live
05 Mar 13 UTC Autumn, 1905: You really should allow yourself more time for Diplomacy, to be fair. You can get away with it in a gunboat, but not the proper game
05 Mar 13 UTC Autumn, 1905: I got home at 310 made the game at 315 on the weekends I would be open to all day diplomacy I always hope to play one everyday
05 Mar 13 UTC Autumn, 1905: On the other hand just think, France, Italy, and I all have to go… only you turkey and Russia
05 Mar 13 UTC Autumn, 1905: You might be able to get away with it in a gunboat, but it is certainly not something to count on. People due not ready up. It is just the way it is.
05 Mar 13 UTC Autumn, 1905: Bla bla bla....so do we draw or not...
05 Mar 13 UTC Autumn, 1905: Then perhaps a 3-way draw- R-E-T is in order.
05 Mar 13 UTC Autumn, 1905: It's quality over quantity. You're a good player, but without enough time you'll never be seen as such. Turkey would have earned a good draw if we'd all been here to the end... possibly with a solo shot. he's been robbed of that now and is left with a far less satisfying move at a solo with half the players missing
05 Mar 13 UTC Autumn, 1905: Austria started Kate now Italy France and I have to go well everyone thanks for making this fun my units are out to everyone know please enjoy:) tell w
Queen Elizabeth I said hi and well bye all:!
05 Mar 13 UTC Autumn, 1905: Or we can just cancel..?
05 Mar 13 UTC Autumn, 1905: @ Turkey

That would be the way of finishing I'd choose. It very much depends on the sort of player you want to be though. There is nothing to say you can't solo this game if you want to.
05 Mar 13 UTC Autumn, 1905: nope... sorry, you can't waste my time like that. France is logged in, and, once the game is over, I bet Italy is still logged in. The walked away from losing hands in the hopes of a draw or cancel. I have no intention of rewarding that.
05 Mar 13 UTC Autumn, 1905: Well sorry but I feel I deserve some points but whatever thats life
05 Mar 13 UTC Autumn, 1905: Also turkey, cancel or drawing would still give you more then you bet
05 Mar 13 UTC Autumn, 1905: For Turkey to walk away with anything less than a 3-way would be poor form indeed.
05 Mar 13 UTC Autumn, 1905: Well he's not to far from winning
05 Mar 13 UTC Autumn, 1905: How do you know France and Italy are still logged in
05 Mar 13 UTC Autumn, 1905: Indeed. Whether he win's or not is entirely down to how he wants to build his reputation as a player
05 Mar 13 UTC Spring, 1906: France's units didn't move and he didn't have a no orders received or whatever thing under them. Italy is just a hunch, because more than half of the games I finish the cd'd players are logged in.
05 Mar 13 UTC Spring, 1906: Really? Live games are often like this these days?
05 Mar 13 UTC Spring, 1906: Would we polite to draw or cancel but seriously bye now these are my last moves
05 Mar 13 UTC Autumn, 1906: Seriously, germany, you're a good chap and all but you lost the right to ask for draws or cancels when you announced you're early leaving
05 Mar 13 UTC Autumn, 1906: Damit...stop begging for 7 points....turkey earn that win.
05 Mar 13 UTC Autumn, 1906: He can't earn the win. He can take it or he can take the draw. The was robbed of the chance to earn the win when the peanut gallery left early
05 Mar 13 UTC Autumn, 1906: If they leave they leave...so what? Turkey finish that and win...
05 Mar 13 UTC Autumn, 1906: There are wins and wins. A win where people who could have stopped it just leave is an empty win. A win where you defeat everyone is a win worth having.

That being said, different people value these things differently, which is a strengh of the game. It Turkey values wins no matter how they come he should take it. Personally I wouldn't, but I think I'm in the minority
05 Mar 13 UTC Autumn, 1906: Out of interest, who are you? (directed at turkey)
05 Mar 13 UTC Autumn, 1906: I have plenty of solos of both types.
05 Mar 13 UTC Autumn, 1906: Plenty of the earned ones? Really? I'm impressed!
05 Mar 13 UTC There it is. 1907- a short game.
05 Mar 13 UTC and Italy and France are logged in. :)
05 Mar 13 UTC Damn it... and there I was hoping you were a talented newish player :p
05 Mar 13 UTC lol, everyone is logged in.
05 Mar 13 UTC Everyone????

The little shits!
05 Mar 13 UTC Are live games like this now?
05 Mar 13 UTC sometimes... I don't get it. This is the first time where it felt like half the players at the table walked to try and convince me to draw/cancel.
05 Mar 13 UTC A damned shame. The game had a lot of potential before Germany announced he was buggering off. Even with Austria's slow start
05 Mar 13 UTC hmm, actually, maybe they aren't.... I thought the blue dot by peoples names (below) indicated that they were logged on. Perhaps this isn't the case though.

anywho, yeah, could have been a great game.
05 Mar 13 UTC Anyway, here's hoping I get to give you a decent fight next time :).

Bye for now!
