31 Jul 24 UTC Autumn, 1994: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.

10 Sep 24 UTC Damn y'all were just waiting for me to mash draw huh? Would have liked to try for the solo, but got the feeling I was perhaps holding everyone else hostage when I saw Spain's number of holds here.

gg all
10 Sep 24 UTC I was a bit surprised to see this one drawn so soon. I had initially hoped to work with Egypt and sweep west together. However, the two fleets in the Black Sea and build up of other forces on my border with Egypt, left me with too few units to actually devote to westward expansion. Accordingly, I put in my draw vote and hoped to continue to contain Egypt.
10 Sep 24 UTC Gg all! think you might have had a solo opportunity Egypt but happy to be included in the draw. Cheers!
10 Sep 24 UTC For my thought process on that: if this map were home center builds only, I would have been much, much more likely to play nice with you, but the fact that either of us could have used two builds on any turn to do what I did if we could have left our Black Sea coasts undefended, and that that occurring was really my only vulnerability here thanks to the corner position, made me want to take Black Sea first, especially since (a) I thought you had some easier gains against more diffuse powers than I did, (b) based on the nature of the border, I could waste more of your units than mine, and (c) I (correctly, it looks like) thought I still had enough units of the right type in the right places to continue gaining against Italy and Spain even with our border militarized, especially since gunboat would have made it harder than press for them to stop fighting and coordinate against me.
10 Sep 24 UTC Oh damn, I guess I'm an unintentional genius for getting Egy to surrender?
10 Sep 24 UTC I just put in all the holds cause I was like "well, Egypt got this, might as well let them solo faster" lmao
10 Sep 24 UTC And yeah, I wanted to start working with Italy for the last 5 years, but it always felt like if I stopped attacking and Italy didn't, I'd lose so much ground instantly.
I am very happy about the fact that me and Britain managed to just stop fighting after like 4 years of non stop warfare lol.

In any case well played everyone!
10 Sep 24 UTC I hate the fact that its so easy for britain to turtle on the other end of the north sea
