25 May 09 UTC Autumn, 1902: It's nice to know that Germany, Austria, and England are all so trustworthy. Good luck to anyone else not included in their alliance.
26 May 09 UTC Autumn, 1902: ???
26 May 09 UTC Autumn, 1902: I second that.

???
27 May 09 UTC Autumn, 1903: It's nice to know that Germany, Austria, andRussia are all so trustworthy. Good luck to anyone else not included in their alliance
27 May 09 UTC Autumn, 1903: Sorry England, I was wrong. Turkey is the other member of the AG alliance, not you.
27 May 09 UTC Autumn, 1903: And I do wish that Austria had kept its word to me. Well played AGT.
27 May 09 UTC Spring, 1904: My word to you? Let me refresh your memory, here is all of the dialog between us:
Fri 22 May Spring 1901: Greetings to the Emperor!
Do you know which way you are headed first?
Fri 22 May Autumn 1901: Yes. I will head towards Italy
Fri 22 May Autumn 1901: Would you be interested in my help with Rumania and Bulgaria in exchange for helping me with Turkey?
Sat 23 May Spring 1902: What do you propose for a split?
Sat 23 May Spring 1902: I think the most natural boundary is if you take Rumania and Bulgaria and I take Constantinople, Ankara, and Smyrna. I would be open to other thoughts you may have. I would be happy to help you with Rum and Bul if you will help me with the others.
Mon 07 PM Autumn 1902: Why split when you can take it all. Very clever.

At that point I moved into Rumania and that was the end of our dialog. so in essence I did keep my word to you. I moved towards Italy.
31 May 09 UTC Spring, 1904: I really dislike it when the player on the verge of elimination refuses to move to keep the game going....
31 May 09 UTC Spring, 1904: 3 days to think about a Retreat order?
15 Jun 09 UTC Spring, 1908: It looks like I'm done for. Well played everyone.
16 Jun 09 UTC Spring, 1909: Can you give me until 1911 to dispose of England then you can take the victory?
17 Jun 09 UTC Spring, 1909: NO
17 Jun 09 UTC Spring, 1909: Sorry England. I guess you know I'm coming for you now.
17 Jun 09 UTC Spring, 1909: I do not see why turkey have to wait...
17 Jun 09 UTC Spring, 1909: Hey, I'm not dead yet. I'll bite off your ankles...
18 Jun 09 UTC Spring, 1909: Just grab the solo this fall, no need to wait
19 Jun 09 UTC Spring, 1909: Thanks for the advice but no, I promised Germany I'd give him a couple of seasons.
19 Jun 09 UTC Spring, 1909: This a PPSC game and germany deserves to get the extra points for taking england. Sorry but that's the whole point of the game.
19 Jun 09 UTC Spring, 1909: It would go quicker if Jack would just finalize but if he wants to drag this out so be it. There's no hurry and the same outcome is inevitable.
19 Jun 09 UTC Autumn, 1909: i think is not a honest way of palying and i want to go in civil disorder. I have played the last move thinking turkey will win and i wil survive. this is a war game simulation, if you play for the points in not a simulation any more...
19 Jun 09 UTC Autumn, 1909: that is war. as soon as you think you've got it figured out it changes. In war there are winning sides and losing sides. this game you just happen to be on the latter.

war is not fair Jack and weak nations don't survive.
19 Jun 09 UTC Autumn, 1909: true, i have to think about 60 hours for every moves, is a very difficult time when you lose, you try to survive longer you can...
19 Jun 09 UTC Autumn, 1909: Well statswise the game will end up the same for Turkey and Germany no matter if England is taken out or not. Playing just for points is just cowardly
19 Jun 09 UTC Autumn, 1909: Not that I have any political clout anymore, but I agree with England in that I think every player should always play for a solo win. I realize that I am a purist. I want online play to be as close to the board game as possible. Since time is not an issue and we are not at a stalemate, I would rather see Turkey play for the win.
22 Jun 09 UTC Autumn, 1909: V-Day
22 Jun 09 UTC Autumn, 1909: so who says I'm not playing for a solo win? England will fall Germany will have 16 sc's - I'll take St Petersburg and end with 18.
22 Jun 09 UTC Autumn, 1909: Everybody's happy.... well except Jack and possibly Mike.

My theory is that since this is a PPSC game why not maximize the number of points for each of the allied countries? Why let a couple of hangers on (no offense intended) take some points that I or my allied countries could have? Mercy?
22 Jun 09 UTC Autumn, 1909: Respect, not mercy. When England saw the writing on the wall, he could have collapsed and welcomed Germany into his SC's. But England continued to play well and fought hard to survive. I believe that England is more deserving of those points than Germany - who is now simply picking on a weaker nation with no ability to repel such an attack.
22 Jun 09 UTC Autumn, 1909: Isn't that really the root of this game? Strong nations prey on the weak, either singularly or in packs. Hence the usual demise of nations like austria and italy early in the game.
22 Jun 09 UTC Autumn, 1909: England and you have fought well and played well. Hopefully you both will choose to finish honorably and complete your moves in a timely fashion.
22 Jun 09 UTC Autumn, 1909: What do you know of honor? Wasn't it you who backstabbed me breaking our strong alliance after I had propped you up and rescued you from the Russian advance? I really don't think you should be speaking about honor...
22 Jun 09 UTC Autumn, 1909: Whether or not Russia or England survive with any points is up to you and Germany but don't try to cloak your greed with the guise of honor.
22 Jun 09 UTC Autumn, 1909: Diplomacy is different for me. As I see it, all nations start as equals. One nation typically only gains more power by working with other nations. And, typically, alliances change sides to try to balance power. I just don't see the point of prolonging my demise so that Germany can play the bully to a nation that seems to me deserving of part of the pot.
22 Jun 09 UTC Autumn, 1909: No worries. A couple of more moves and it will be over...
23 Jun 09 UTC Autumn, 1909: victory with no onor is not a victory
24 Jun 09 UTC Autumn, 1909: victory is victory... the end justifies the means...

“He has honor if he holds himself to an ideal of conduct though it is inconvenient, unprofitable, or dangerous to do so.”

“Honor has not to be won; it must only not be lost.”
24 Jun 09 UTC Autumn, 1909: Hold your head high Jack, go to defeat honorably, make your moves in a timely fashion, no sense prolonging this...
25 Jun 09 UTC i will be glad in a Germany victory....and looking at the moves....now it is possible
25 Jun 09 UTC Nice finale... although I screwed up my move to edinburgh from wales.

Jack/Mike looks like you both survived with some points!
Nicely done everyone.
