Spring, 2000: [Frozen-Antarctica]:Hello! Greetings from the land of ice and snow! And Yetis!!!!!! I am also open to communications and would be willing to work together with you, or at least have a non-aggression pact between us. I propose we start by me focusing on Antarctica and you on the areas around Australia. South Africa is going to be an issue probably for both of us, and if we're not fighting each other, we focus on holding SA off. How does that sound to you? |

Spring, 2000: [Frozen-Antarctica]:Actually, I'm trying a new version of this game I'm dubbing "Open Diplomacy" where I'm just going to tell the world what my plans are and they can just try and stop me! |

Spring, 2000: [Pacific-Russia]:Balls to the wall! |

Spring, 2000: [India]:I like it. Although, it's not exactly a "new version", when webdip already has games where there's only public messaging. |

Autumn, 2000: [Libya]:... I really wish people understood it is just plain dirty, not to mention unsporting, to betray someone as early as the first year. I will admit I didn't see it coming so you are indeed subtle Europe, but that doesn't change the fact that you can't be trusted any farther than you can be thrown. (which I assume is not far...) Diplomacy is about more than stabbing people in the back. If you stab early, and somehow maintain the momentum of surprise (which you generally can't) you still lose credibility with everyone around you who will no longer trust you. If you are willing to stab me, a now former ally, this quickly then why not someone else? Now I am just ranting so there's some food for thought... |

Autumn, 2000: [Libya]:Judging on the board moves I would say Oz just walked into Frozen's moves, and I can't really tell if it's betrayal or just bad planning, but if betrayal is the case then Oz I know how you feel right now. However, in Frozen's defense he really had nowhere else to go, so you had to of seen that coming... Maybe the same applies to me, but I would argue that point. |

Autumn, 2000: [Oz]:That is very insightful. Thank you for the analysis of both the situation and the psycholgy of the average dip player. I feel enlightened. |

Autumn, 2000: [Libya]:Ha ha, your welcome... and your sarcasm is noted. |
