03 Dec 12 UTC | Spring, 3: rome, i suggest that we divide greece. you get sparta, athen and macedonia and i take miletus and byzantium. |
03 Dec 12 UTC | Spring, 3: ....and dacia and samatia = DMZ... |
04 Dec 12 UTC | Spring, 3: Egypt... you are going to get my SC very slow, while Persia grows, and who is next in his list???? and why he can´t move his army in Jer, he is waiting to next fall so he can get Petra... We can split Persia SC. |
04 Dec 12 UTC | Spring, 3: This is why I hate Global chat. No subtlety at all. First of all, I adhere to the vengeance doctrine. That is, If loss is imminent throw the game to the disadvantage of the person who screwed you. If Persia stabs me - I will deny him any further gains while throwing my game to Carthage and suppressing vital troops while he fights against you/Rome. A Rome Persia peace will never last long . |
04 Dec 12 UTC | Spring, 3: At the very least it lets you see who will backstab and who won't. |
04 Dec 12 UTC | Spring, 3: That's a risk I'd accept. It wouldn't be diplomacy if there were no secret backstabs. This all chat limits the uncertain variables in the game - making it more akin to chess. |
04 Dec 12 UTC | Spring, 3: thats it: Chess. Egypt, i´ll remove my unit in Jer so that you you i wont stab you. Rome, it´s a suggestion. it would be nice. if this agreement lasts longer and does not matter whether this cooperation makes sense later on, you will see later. |
04 Dec 12 UTC | Spring, 3: The global chat doesn't leave a lot of room for subtlety, but it is a different kind of diplomacy. You have to measure your words just as much as in individual chat. Persia, I mean you no ill will, but I am a strong adherent to the balance of power doctrine. I like diversity in my friends and enemies. |
