23 Sep 12 UTC Spring, 1: Hello everyone! I wish the best to all of you.
23 Sep 12 UTC Spring, 1: I would like to encourage everyone to talk as much as possible! I enjoy conversing while I game, and there is something very satisfying about sitting around a table over a board and conversing about everything while we attempt to defeat each other! Feel free to bring some pretzels and beer to the pc while you play! We won't mind ;)
23 Sep 12 UTC Spring, 1: I'm game if everyone else is. Although that means I need to go and get beer and pretzels.
23 Sep 12 UTC Spring, 1: Oh, I like this! I'm definitely all for the social aspect of "board"gaming. I'll be sure to have beer and pretzels on-hand no matter the time of day in which I'm putting in my moves.
23 Sep 12 UTC Spring, 1: Hello and good luck
23 Sep 12 UTC Spring, 1: If I may ask, how many times has everyone played this map? This is my second time; the first time I played as Egypt. Did well in the beginning and expanded rapidly, then found myself in a slow and frustrating retreat. Ended up regaining my bid by the end so it turned out alright.
23 Sep 12 UTC Spring, 1: I've played it a couple of times, but never as Egypt.
24 Sep 12 UTC Spring, 1: This is my 6th time playing. 4/6 I've been Carthage, once Egypt (game was canceled), once was Persia, never Rome
25 Sep 12 UTC Autumn, 1: Did any of you own the board game of Diplomacy?
25 Sep 12 UTC Autumn, 1: I've got a copy, but have only managed to get enough people to play once.
25 Sep 12 UTC Autumn, 1: I played quite a bit back in school. I have the Colonial Diplomacy board game but have never been able to play it.
25 Sep 12 UTC Autumn, 1: In college, we used to have a gaming group and each Sunday morning from 9am to 2-3pm we'd play Diplomacy on board. I miss those days.
25 Sep 12 UTC Spring, 2: Colonial diplomacy? That sounds pretty cool. I had a nice gaming group in college, too, and Diplomacy nearly tore the group apart (much like Twilight Imperium has a tendency to do). We learned to avoid lengthy games centered on betrayal.
25 Sep 12 UTC Spring, 2: Funny you should mention that; the last game my friends and I played was the best and worst game we ever had. Best because it took a lot of thinking and determination to win. Worst because we didn't speak to each other for weeks afterward.
17 Oct 12 UTC We're all pretty close in numbers. How about a draw, Persia, Egypt?
17 Oct 12 UTC I will agree.
17 Oct 12 UTC Thanks for the draw and good game
