Throwing a game
What is everybody's opinion on players throwing a game? There's a debate going on in a game of mine whether it's a form of metagaming or a valid strategy, or just unsportsmanlike, and I'd be curious to see how everyone feels about it.

Last year he was banned on April 1st but was told he could appeal his ban and return if he went through the proper channels. Has he done this? I am not saying I miss him - but curious if he appealed

Oh yeah. And people wonder why people say the Christian rights is waging a war on women. This idiot who failed 8th grade health class apparently looks like he is terrified by strong women no doubt.

It's kind of too bad he is wrong, because the world could use more gay people and fewer religious nuts.

A female wrestler decides that they want to identify as a male... and even after stating that he wanted to wrestle other boys, it wasn't allowed, and he won the... women's state wrestling championship. (I believe it was state) I find this ridiculous because this wrestler even took horomones and other supplements, which to a point, act similarly to anabolic steroids.

The sexual orientation of athletes is irrelevant imho. What is important for me are things like their talent, determination, the way they conduct themselves ( eg do they respect umpires ) when competing.. Are they "clean" ie not cheaters. So for example with Wyatt's example of the female wrestler, the "drug use" to gain an advantage is what I'd regard as the important issue.
My rebellious niece insisted on playing Australian Rules football in a mainly boys team when she was eleven and twelve years old..but I think her decision to do so had nothing to do with sexual orientation.. She just wanted to "make her point" with her parents & beat up a few obnoxious young blighters along the way. I think her actions were a reprisal at her parents who refused to get her a horse which she claimed could live outside on her father's grass tennis court...she said at the time that having a horse to eat the grass would save her father money "wasted on paying to have the grass mowed" She played football for two winter seasons, then "moved on".

Don't worry Capt Brad, lots of "gay couples" are becoming parents, adopting children, or with some lesbian couples, arranging for a "sperm donation" and having their own children. Isn't it wonderful of God to bring such joy into their lives ?

You are against abortion Capt Brad, so do you think it preferable for children to be adopted by well resourced ( ie they have careers, good home etc) caring "gay couples" as an alternative to abortion ?

11 and 12 year old girls are sometimes better athletes than boys that age because they hit puberty then and are often larger. That's more common than some crazy conspiracy theory about horses and payback.
JamesYanik (548 D)

Also I've known some girls who'd destroy any boy they came up against at gymnastics.

That said, there are a lot of endurance and strength tests that men can consistently outperform most women at.

It's known as sexual dimorphism.

And what does sexual orientation have to do with any of it?

ABSOLUTELY NOTHINGGGGGGGGGGGGGayliberalagenda
bo_sox48 (5202 DMod(G))
01 Mar 17 UTC
We don't, actually, James. Sperm can be artificially created from female bone marrow. I believe this was first successfully done in 2007 but the article I was going to cite was pulled down (http://www.nbcnews.com/id/18095147/ns/health-cloning_and_stem_cells/t/scientists-create-synthetic-sperm-cells/#.WLYzPLYrK3U, if you care). DNA can also be replicated in a lab now. Stem cells are the real deal. It's pretty crazy to think about.
bo_sox48 (5202 DMod(G))
01 Mar 17 UTC
I'm fairly sure synthetically created eggs from womb tissue and artificial incubation are also a thing, so theoretically, the human race could last just fine as just a bunch of blabbering heads (Futurama style) so long as some tissue from both a man and a woman still exists somewhere.

interesting, so... when's the genocide against men happening? I identify as a female now jsyk
steephie22 (182 D(S))

"when's the genocide against men happening?"

I still intend to write a book on this dystopian future. I might just pass the idea on to a classmate, though.

For the record, cloning is also an option in which males play no role. Male sperm is not essential to make new humans. As bo_sox hinted at, if you want to mix up DNA in a semi-natural way, you can go the artificial sperm route.

That being said, perhaps we don't need more than 3.5 billion genetic varieties of females.

Also note that the female revolution doesn't have to start violent: they just have to have control over their own body and decide to clone girls. Men can only stop it by controlling a female's body.

Maybe the religious wingnuts are trying to prevent this dystopian future? :-)
The cool part is that all the tech is there. Females could start today.
steephie22 (182 D(S))
01 Mar 17 UTC
Although laws are still a thing in the case of cloning humans, I presume ;-)
steephie22 (182 D(S))
01 Mar 17 UTC
Also, there are extra health risks involved with cloning. Using sperm is still safer I believe, for mother and future child.
orathaic (1009 D(B))
01 Mar 17 UTC
Yeah, the 'issue' with creating artificial sperm from a woman's bone marrow, is that there is no Y chromosone in a woman's bone marrow (at least a woman who has XX sex chromosones) so you can only produce XX offspring. (Ignoring the existance of XXY, XXYY and other rare sex chromosone types)
MajorMitchell (1605 D)
01 Mar 17 UTC
That's a relief Orathaic, the master race will have to keep at least a few of us men around for the foreseeable future.
MajorMitchell (1605 D)
01 Mar 17 UTC
Lol, see how embedded patriarchy is, the "master race" indeed.
The "superior Mistress race" will have to tolerate our continued presence... maybe society will evolve to something similar to bee societies.. A small number of drone males, just large enough to provide genetic diversity, and selected like the way we selectively choose bulls to breed cattle, milked for their semen which is distributed to women who wish to breed. A brave new world
CAPT Brad (40 DX)

To answer all the best I can. For Mitchell. A child deserves a family; life in a gay couples home is preferable to death, have you seen the American version of the birdcage, you can come out straight. If men did not 'donate' the population would dwindle regardless of technology because of the expense. If so many people are put off from bringing children to term they are not going to go out of their way and put up a lot of money for it. Of course it will never happen because the gay population is still a very tiny minority. It only seems large because of the fake media shows.

That's funny. I thought what MajorMitchell was talking about had already started!
MajorMitchell (1605 D)
02 Mar 17 UTC
Yes Capt Brad I have seen the American film production of "The Birdcage" with Robyn Williams, and whilst Williams was an impressive talent, it's my opinion that the earlier French film production is superior to the American production.
But you are correct ( ouch that hurts, lol ) with the point you make, that growing up with "gay" parents has no more effect than growing up with heterosexual parents on the children's eventual sexual orientation.
It's just a personal opinion, but I think that adoption should be included in the options available to women considering abortion, and it often is.
But adoption and abortion should both be available. As should proper "sex education" (without religious bias, for example just offering abstinence as the only acceptable "strategy" and not offering information about "safe sex") so that fewer unplanned pregnancies occur.. ie, more prevention.. And I've made earlier comments about my views on men taking more responsibility about their sexual activities so that unplanned pregnancies are avoided.

Well, this whole conversation was about how men are unnecessary, so.
