Interesting idea. That's a big buy-in for a "mentored" game. I'm intrigued, and it makes me think of the old School of War idea, which I haven't seen mentioned in a while.

What would prevent others of us that joined from reaching out to other mods for "mentoring?"

@Hauta I'm trying to learn the game. I am stuck in the draw phase, and can't quite figure out how to get over the hump to solo. I'm taking the 2nd set of eyes and a perspective from someone that's been through it to try and learn how to "up my game".

@Hamilton Brian it is a high buy in for mentored, but I want to make things interesting :) I'm not opposed to anyone else having a mentor through it, I just know I have one through the "Zultar Christmas Sweepstakes" prize I won lol

I mean this constructively: @JEccles, your Draw percent looks low. Check out the numbers of some big shots. Draws + Wins exceeds 50% and sometimes gets close to 60%. Indeed, for you, the Survive percent looks alarmingly high -- almost like you are unwittingly contributing to someone else's solo win. If I were you, I'd work on converting some of those Survives into Draws before I worry about converting Draws into Solos.

@Hauta, there's not a huge difference between draw and survive percents for me (1%), and a lot of my survives and defeats came when I started back in 2009. It's been the past couple years that I've started drawing a lot, but I haven't figured out that final step to get over the line.

I understand what you're saying though and agree, there are some cases in the past that I unwittingly helped people solo, but that's been cut down dramatically over the last few years :)

I would suggest this one doesn't start until the other one is cancelled. 5/7 have pressed cancel. Not sure what to do in a case where the majority want to but there are outliers. Mods?
