Points in play calculation
All,

I have read the FAQ, but it seems to state that your points in play are the sum of point that you *bet*. Mine seem to exceed that, but may be correct if they are the "current value" rather than the "bet." I could do some tedious counting, but I imagine that most of the people here know, so please pardon the "lazy ask" of someone new to this site, but a long-term Dip player.

Anyone here tried Subterfuge?
Its an iOS/Droid game similar to Neptune's Pride somewhat. Slow Realtime where movement takes hours to days to resolve, no RNG, and based on the Diplomacy tradition of deception and alliances. The key difference to Pride is a toroidal map and a different win condition. Anyone else given it a go?

Simple rule question I'm unsure of.
Country 1: A sup B move C; B move C;
Country 2: C sup D move A; D move A;
My thinking is everyone bounces because both supports are broken. Is that right?

When Does A Draw Occur?
When does a draw occur? As soon as all players vote for draw...or when all players have voted for draw and the next turn is adjudicated? I ask because I am in a game where the draw votes are hidden.

Maybe Sarah Palin was hoping to obscure the news about another of her failed offspring and Republican family values. They make Hillary Clinton looked great with her daughter Chelsea waiting to get married to a nice Jewish boy before getting pregnant.

What are her other children called? Highway Palin, Footpath Palin and Turnpike Palin?

i feel like i've been doing this since 2000 and George W -- but to all of you citizens of the world, I apologize for the United States, and certain idiots that we have created. Some of us are insane and terrible. But at least half of us maybe aren't? If any of you ever want to visit my farm, I'll show you how I grow organic vegetables and practice yoga, and associate with a diverse and intelligent community of Americans.
Trump and Palin literally melt my brain though.
Jamiet99uk (1307 D)

No worries, ISM-Dubya. I know all Americans are not like Trump or Palin or Bush.

Likewise I'd like to reassure you that not all British people are like Katie Hopkins or George Osborne.

A slightly different perspective from that far-right neo-fascist Glenn Greenwald's website:

https://theintercept.com/2016/01/20/sarah-palin-is-making-sense-really/

"While the New York Times ridiculed Sarah Palin’s speech endorsing Donald Trump yesterday as “mystifying,” a big portion of it was a non-mysterious, coherent attack on big money politics. It’s worth reading that whole portion:

..."

I mean, there's nothing mystifying about Palin endorsing Trump. Dog bites man. Nothing new in her speech--different year, same talking points.

Of course, the mysterious part of Palin's attack on big-money politics is how electing Trump is supposed to be a quality answer to that.
Randomizer (722 D)

Trump is spending mostly his own money to campaign much like Perot did to create a third party. However Perot was a successful businessman that created and sold businesses. Trump is a speculator with several failed businesses and bankruptcies.

Trump as president would run up the deficit with borrowing and then threaten not to pay to get it reduced. It's been his pattern in life.
Hastati (100 D)

Trump is basically republican Obama. He makes all the bombastic, unrealistic promises in the word that tug on the feelings of dissatisfied voters, but not having any sort of plan for how to actually acomplish it.

Unlike those who doom and gloom about how Trump would be the second coming of <insert worst politician ever here> or something insane like that, I feel instead he'd just be another 8 year lame duck like Obama was. Something to still be avoided, but not the end of civilization as we know it.

Actually truth be told with the current congress, even a good candidate would probably be lame duck as nothing gets passed anyway.

"Good candidate" = pretty much any Democrat. "Bad candidate" = pretty much everyone else. Gotcha.

"Trump is basically a Republican Obama"
That's just nonsense, and has no credibility at all.
I would have thought a political endorsement from Sarah Palin would be the proverbial "kiss of death"
Ms Palin should perhaps be pitied rather than despised.

Political programmes here in the UK talking tonight about Sarah Palin being a likely VP candidate if Donald Trump gets the GOP nomination.

Is that view gaining sway in the US? Can you see that happening?
Lethologica (203 D)

Palin doesn't offer Trump anything he needs for broad-spectrum appeal. But then, that's political conventional wisdom, and if there's anything Trump publicly abhors, it's political conventional wisdom.

ishirkmywork (1401 D)

Trump will publicly flirt with the idea of having Palin as a VP, only to keep the right winger's happy during the primary. In a general election, having Palin as VP would be equivalent to having Leprosy on the ticket.

John Mccain won't publicly say he regrets it, but all of his former campaign advisers have said as much, and it is generally accepted that Palin is the reason why he got beaten in a landslide.

I mean, she blamed her son's violence on Obama. What else do you need to know about her? Of course McCain and his advisors hate her; he was one of the leaders of compromise efforts in Congress for the longest time. She's the opposite.

spectating games
Is there a way to see the global chat in a game your not in? it wouldn't make it so that you could tell someone something they wouldn't have known otherwise like showing private messages would do. I'm just wondering if there is a specific reason why you can't.
