Another f2f in London?
seems to be a growing appetite for f2f's, and as there are American and Dutch ones currently or recently planned / in the pipeline, I thought I'd see if there was any demand for another one in London (or elsewhere in the UK). Really enjoyed my first f2f experience at that gathering back in March.

Day 6, Official Count Final

Lucland (2): TrPrado, ND
Not voted (1): Lucland

With The Individual Eleven and Project 2501 in custody, the remaining members of Section 9 had the final address of The Laughing Man. ND and TrPrado stand over Lucland, sitting in his chair at the library.
“You made the wrong choice kid”, TrPrado inserts a dummy plug into Lucland’s brain port to stop his cyber-brain activity.

Somehow, beyond the ability of the neutralizer, Lucland looks up and smiles, with one last sentence.

“I thought what I’d do is I’d pretend I was one of those deaf-mutes”, then, silence.

Lucland, the remaining cyber-hacker-terrorist, has been arrested.

GGWP all! A fantastic game to play and watch, and the greatest comeback I think I've ever seen (mislynching all the way to LYOL and then correctly lynching all the way to the victory was quite something). The play from all players throughout was great - I think in some cases outclassing that in the All Stars game - and it was great to be a part of it.

My MVP nomination goes to ND. Although his statistics might have been slightly off throughout, it was his argument and pressure that got two mafia lynched and won town the game, and I do not think town would have been able to consolidate without his determination. Ultimately, I feel it was ND who won town this game.

I think Prado and Yoyo both are also good nominations for this category, since Prado's argument also played a significant part in the pressure that resulted in consolidation and getting the two mafia members lynched, and the game would almost certainly have been lost without Yoyo's scan results giving us Jeff.
TrPrado (461 D)
28 Aug 15 UTC
I think ND did really well and his final push that found the last 2 scum could earn him MVP. Yoyo giving us our wonderful direction, and captain's dying words explaining something that led me in the end to view more toward the idea that SS was less scummy than Lucland are both definitely contenders for that, though.
DeathLlama8 (514 D)

I'll nominate Yoyo for town MVP and Jeff for scum MVP. GGWP all, thanks to Valis and Ghug
TrPrado (461 D)
28 Aug 15 UTC
But, yeah, it was the NKs made when bo and Lucland were the last scum that kinda ended up screwing them over. The defense by meme was brilliant and caught me onto that possibility, and then I could hardly think of ND as scum, whereas I had spent a lot of time rather recently on SS, so killing ND would have meant Luc had the potential to turn me on the last towny if he had a real argument.
ND (879 D)
28 Aug 15 UTC
I alluded to this before, but basically it would have taken a herculean effort to convince me that TrPrado or SS were the final mafia. Simply because that vote could have been tied D5 if TrPrado, SS or I were mafia. Lucland coming on in the final five minutes and trying to confuse the vote sealed the deal for me. In regards to nominations I am very torn. Phil did a great job in his night post at identifying Lucland, which led to Bo’s defense of Lucland; the no lynch argument. This really helped me connect the two. Yoyo made an impressive scan and gave the town the information it needed to connect the dots. TrPrado was solid and stuck with his votes until the end and played an impressive VT game. So for town MVP (I am torn): Phil/Yoyo/TrPrado. Sorry if this seems like a cop out, but all three really helped me in different ways. For the mafia MVP I would say Bo. He was an impressive nemesis and only got foiled through some deep digging and identification of his methods.

GGA. Fun times and well played.

As I mentioned on the God thread, I think that this game was quite enjoyable in part because there was only a single power role. The players had to analyze each other rather than relying on power roles to do the dirty work.

Yoyo's scan of me was pivotal, but after he and I were gone, it took superb sleuthing by the townies to bring the mafia down. Good job and well deserved win.
Yoyoyozo (95 D)

Good game! My curse has been lifted!

TrPrado/ND for Town MVP
Jeff for Mafia MVP

I think Jeff played the best in terms of staying hidden, and had I not scanned him, he would have most likely won the game.

Espi, you would have been able to help if you hadn't been tunneled so damn hard the whole time. Seriously, I understand that I knew his role because of mine, but was it thaaaat hard to figure out that Espi was town? There were two people crumbing/staunchly defending him and plenty of controversy surrounding him between a few select players (which you wouldn't get with mafia; they wouldn't link themselves to their partners), which basically indicates a town-led discussion. Mafia would have been at least mulling a bandwagon against their teammate. Even Espi's "slips" weren't scumslips (and neither was Balki's; the fact that three townies ran with that case is amazing). I never understood the case and I thought that if anyone was gonna clear themselves, he was the guy.

I also don't get the argument that Yoyo is the town MVP (and Yoyo, please don't take that to mean you didn't play well, because you did). I understand that he exposed Jeff and cleared Espi, but, as I said before, Espi should have been townread already. Getting the scan on Jeff was a good read on a moderately hidden/lurkish player, obviously, but I don't see that as the make-or-break point in the game. The town MVPs had to be the two that put the puzzle together *after* that report came to light, particularly without another confirmed townie, and maybe Espi in that group as well for shifting the attention in that direction rather than tunneling back on ND, which is what most inexperienced (and some experienced) townies would have done in that situation. People lust for power, and he finally had it, but he used it responsibly rather than angrily, and I think you all should be more appreciative of that than you have been thus far, because, frankly, I had put my money in the bank that he would do exactly that, and took a flight to Boston without thinking there was any chance I'd get lynched on the day that I did. Had Espi tunneled back against ND, the ND-Lucland scumteam I proposed would have been that much more plausible and I think that the game could have gone the other direction easily.

Doesn't mean Yoyo's report wasn't important and that it didn't give the town the boost they needed, but it didn't win the town the game - ND, Espi, and Prado did by rallying together in those last few days and putting the old fights that led to three straight (really bad) mislynches behind them rather than going in the same direction that put the town so far behind.
Yoyoyozo (95 D)
29 Aug 15 UTC
I think that people nominated me for town MVP is because I gave the town the direction it needed. Think about it. If I had died without a scan on Jeff, what leads would the town have? A lot of ND's case on you were dependent on your ties to Jeff, which he wouldn't have know if I didn't flip him. Above all, the town was at LYLO when I died so all you needed was one confused townie to vote for another town, and captainmeme would have been the prime target for a mislynch due to a number of reasons. By scanning Jeff and casting my early suspicion on you, I gave the town the clues necessary to win the game. After I died, the town lynched perfectly to save the game, due in equal part of me laying the groundwork as someone who had already caught scum, and ND for coming up with that DOPE ASS case. If I get MVP, I'd gladly share it with ND.
ND (879 D)
29 Aug 15 UTC
Same here yoyo. I'd gladly share with you too. Well done.
ghug (5068 D(B))

Is MVP an official thing now? I always saw it more as a way to discuss and compliment good play and tell bo he's the worst than an official reward. Regardless, I think Yoyo and ND were definitely the most deserving, and Jeff on the other side. I was also impressed by all of the new players who made a good effort to participate, especially Espi and Balki.

SaladinSmith (100 D)
29 Aug 15 UTC
In my humble opinion, ND for town MVP for the reasons already given. Yoyo was pivotal -- but only because of his role, and awarding MVP awarded for role feels like basketball MVP always going to the tallest player.

bo for mafia MVP because he had me convinced he was town for the longest time. I mean I did townread Jeff and Lucland, but I seriously went a day or so thinking bo was cop.
Jeff Kuta (2066 D)
