Maybe I'm being over sensitive...
But there seems to be a fair bit of misogyny in some posts. All in jest, but still, some posts that are misogynistic in nature. I'm curious as to whether there would be so many if there were more women on the site.

If nobody soudl fear your judgement, than why are you so frequently prolific with your judgements? What it must be like to live inside such a confused paradoxical mind....

You got to give him credit for this though, he's spot on.

"

"I therefor[e] hate all and every religion"

Therein lies your biggest problem. The coming-up of atheism in the last couple hundred of years has been based upon the idea that one man's lifestyle shouldn't be pushed on another, that Christianity is a choice and not a requirement, and that if you choose to ascribe elsewhere, be it Islam, Judaism, any other religion, or no religion at all, that's okay. Now you and a number of atheists are trying to turn the tables back on religion by forcing them away, which only makes you a hypocrite and a denier of your own history.

That's pretty fucking funny, because athiests sure as hell have a nasty habit of trying to tell other What to think, what they shouldn’t think, what should and shouldn’t be taught, etc. so…yeah…that’s a laughable statement.

Krellin, you seem to be having a rough day. Not enough to criticize on the forum I guess? Here, this will cheer you up:

http://9gag.com/gag/aAYDBeR/penguins-chasing-a-butterfly

I'm criticizing fellow atheists for their behavior. I hate that religion, atheism, and science can't all live together. They don't contradict each other. Religion allows for individual spirituality, atheism grants the ability for an individual to dictate their own morals, and science tries to steer the first two toward evidence at hand. It's not something to fight over because each of the three has their place.

Religion and athiest don't contradict one another, huh? <sigh> You're hopeless, Bo. I'm not sure if you pretend to be this ill-informed, or (god forbid) it's just the stark reality that they let people with such mental failings actually graduate from high school these days...

Not personally ascribing to a religion does not mean you can't be a spiritual person. Religion is simply a way to channel spirituality. Many atheists, myself included, simply have different methods of doing so. It's not that complicated.

Your lack of understanding ot he definitions of the words you use is your problem Bo. I grasp what you say you are....you are using the words wrong...I'll let you get a dictionary out and figure out what words you don't understand - it would be good practice for you, since teacher and/or mommy never taught you how to do so.

You can not simply redefine words to suit your purpose...and you have attempted to do so. Again...just because teacher patted you on teh head and said you were a good boy no matter how poorly you performed, that doesn't mean you are/were right.

So run along now, little boy..scoot...go fidn yourself a dictionary and understand the big words before you use them.

English Writing Skills Thread
Discuss skills that help you write good prose and poetry.

I'll start:
If you are trying to write an argumentative piece, it helps a lot to be concise. A long-winded piece that just says the same thing in ten different ways just leads readers astray.

Sandbox
I used to play on an online diplomacy site that had a sandbox. Is it possible to get one on this site, even if just for classic. I looked on the todo list and saw nothing in reference to it.

Obiwan where are you?!
I just finished watching Joss Whedon's production of Much Ado About Nothing and wanted to learn if you had seen it and what your impression was if you had. I quite enjoyed it and felt it was, at the least, comparable to Branagh's version.

Dead Children = Liberal Compassion
Truth in Action - One of the brilliant ideas of Libtards is "open borders"...it's compassionate. Everyone deserves blah blah blah. Yeah, but there are CONSEQUENCES: ** Dead CHILDREN on the shores of the Rio Grande **

What are "agreed hypothetical facts"
There is a case going on in the UK about whether our surveillance service have broken any laws. As they can't confirm or deny what they have done the case is proceeding based on "agreed hypothetical facts". Is this bending the language too far?
