Actually, the council isn't irrelevant. We still need all setups before they are listed and approve all game setups played on this forum.

My setup was never submitted to the council and was never approved. I posted signups without any confirmation at all from any council members.

You were in line to GM and you had a vanilla setup. All anyone had you do beforehand was change the numbers around to make it less mafiasided.

I think its safe to move on without the need for the council. All the reasons we needed it are no longer relevant. Nobody is signing up with bad setups. Theres not a giant backlog of GMs. The system of whoever wants it - have it - go for it , is working.

I think the majority of reasons we needed a council was my poor behavior M20, the terrible god awful setups in m15, m16, and m18, and of course the fake start all day vig game that upset many people in m19.

Since then setups have been fine, the council has been inactive/disengaged/disinterested in the process.

Its time to get rid of the unecessary bueracracy.

The Council exists to stop those bad setups you just listed. All you're doing is pointing out that it works :p

M15 was DeathLlama and meme, that setup with the double doc angel PR

The imbalance in M16 was NDs reverse mafia setup with masons amd cultists

M16 was horrible.

M20 was the culmination of many months of repeated mafia drama that caused the mod team to step in to something it really didn't want to step into, and demand that the council be formed else Mafia would be banned on webDip. The Council was designed to stop all those things, and has been pretty successful in all regards. People think about their setups a lot more before submitting them, and on the rare occasion when something dumb is submitted, it's pointed out and worked through. Most of the time it's not something we need to get very involved in.

You should switch out with Bo, HR. You don't even play mafia. Try being not power hungry for once
