As for freedom of the press, they are free to do their reporting (except for libel), and Trump does not have an obligation to respond to them. That is also in answer to your question, Ezio. No one has to determine what organizations are fake news. The President determines for himself who he allows to interview him, and he obviously shouldn't allow media that slanders him and spreads fake news to do so.

We have had the argument before that presidents/staff/public figures are all people also if I do recall correctly. Yes even if they are just an orange pile of flesh they still are entitled to emotions.

When a man so far right that he is on your left is backed up by the Washington Post; You realize that what they agree on is probably a 100% right. What is it that they agreed on? It is only natural, therefore, that when a reporter from CNN tries to ask President Elect Trump a question, he was cut off completely and utterly. Now I don't really see how this entails the "death" of democracy...... or the rise of an "empire" or the "death" of free-speech either. All Trump did was say no.

The President is entitled to answer questions in his own way. At the moment it seems the US has descended it confrontational politics and this attitude reflects that. When and if it suits him to reach out to viewers and readers of news agencies his doesn't agree with his attitude will change.
