I want to learn how to code, but am having trouble deciding where to start. Their are many free resources, online classes, boot camps, etc. I would prefer to teach myself, but lack the knowledge to know what language I should be learning first and so on. Any tips from the experienced code writers here on WebDip?
Is there a rule against holding a stalemate indefinitely even though the situation is clear? I think he's hoping the rest of us give up and leave, which if it isn't against the rules yet then it should be.
I don't particularly care for PPSC. But saw that another thread was having this discussion as a sidebar and thought it fair to start a discussion thread. There is reasonable support for PPSC and regardless of the majority opinion the minority's should be heard.

In a solo, the soloist gains a portion of the pot equal to 18* divided by the number of centers controlled by the soloist or survivors (but not neutral centers or those of resigned powers) and the survivors split the remainder proportionally based on their center count. *Or however many
You folks have added Known World 901, for which I am very appreciative. I always like to see my variants played. I see this is a port of the version developed by Kaner406 and Oliver Auth for VDip. It has their variations on my variant, (the Pharaonic Canal is not implemented, and the transform rule is). What do people think? Likes? Dislikes?
P.S. If you want more of the "Cohen variant experience" I have several more variants available to try!
Thanks for making the variant! I'm in a game to try it out right now. I like it a lot so far. I don't play variants often, so I find the neutral units give the game a very different feel in the first couple years.
First off - thank you for your great contribution to Diplomacy! Players like you who take the time to develop and hone maps like this are invaluable to the rest of us. Thank you!! I'm giving it an eager try, in more than one active game right now, although on 24 hour+ cycles, so still early games, and hard to tell just yet. Definitely an interesting dynamic with the neutral SCs. So far, the balance seems pretty solid.
A fleet in Mecca can move to Alexandria, North Red Sea, South Red Sea and Yemen. It can't move to Jerusalem, since Jerusalem is not adjacent (by coast) to Mecca. An army could move from Mecca to Jerusalem (and to be complete, to Alexandria, Damascus, Nefud and Yemen as well).
