I have been very disappointed with the quality of press in this tournament. Everybody I've messaged about an alliance has completely ignored me.

Really? I've had some great alliances this tournament.

I had this one fantastic alliance with France in one 1v1 game in this tournament where I was playing Austria, but shockingly, he stabbed me in the end. Can't really blame him though, because I stabbed him in the paired game - guess he figured he couldn't trust me.

To help prevent this from happening, you can check the Orders Preview by using the preview button just under the game board. Additionally, if you think you won't be able to make a phase, remember that you have a week total of pause time you can use over the tournament.

Question: does the pause time before the start of the game (due to our beautiful and magnanimous GM controlling that both parties have each a start game with Austria and France) count towards this one week total?

In general, no. If your games are a long way behind the rest (say, other people are in round 4 and you're the last to finish R1) I may take time out of your pause time if you are slow to unpause after I've given the go-ahead, but I'll always warn you that this will happen beforehand if it's the case.

Alright, thanks, was asking since both my opponent and me had some days where it was beneficial for both of us to wait a bit (rl and stuff). And I thought it would be good that everyone knows that too, so I wrote it here instead of just pm'ing you (and to get this thread a bit livlier).

what about if you pause two games for a time, is it counted as double? i'm assumeing not.
