WebDiplomacy policy on restarting a game
I'm sure this type of topic has happened before. One of the players in "Friendly Mediterranean Variation" managed to 'ready' without any units being ordered. All units were held. Major screw up. Hurts the balance of the game. We are still kind of discussing the ramifications and what to do about the moves... but is it possible to either fix the moves for him? or restart the game with everyone playing the same countries?

Most Well Known Current Leaders?
I was wondering what the most well known current leaders of the world are and realized that I actually didn't know very many. So my question for you guys is how many current world leaders do you know and which ones are they? Also, what country are you from?

Worst Mistakes in Diplomacy
I'm curious to know what people consider their worst mistakes in their entire Diplomacy career. Is it failing in a guaranteed solo? Messing up a secure draw? Being eliminated when you shouldn't have?

http://www.irishtimes.com/sport/soccer/international/england-fans-in-marseille-violence-on-eve-of-euro-2016-1.2679633

Just to note, ritual violence on the pitch is acceptable; but off the pitch the violence is not controlled. Tribal tensions between different fans continues, as they are not satisfied with waiting for their teams to play-fight.

Maybe we need to bring back blood sports, so the fans something to really look forward to...

Thoughts?

Very. I wasn't expecting this milestone for a couple more major tournaments at least. You can usually count on at least a goalie or a couple of midfielders being in their mid 30s, but this team is ridiculously young.

It was a great opening game. Good chances on both sides, France takes the lead, Romania equals with a penalty and then a beautiful goal in the 90th minute to win it. Very good start. France was lucky to get the win. They should be kissing Payets feet who got an assist and the winning goal. Maybe it was just the fact that they havent played a serious game in two years so they were a bit shaky. A win should give them some confidence for the next games.

Does it strike anyone else as odd that Russians are being investigated for their violence, but English fans are not?
Octavious (2802 D)
12 Jun 16 UTC
Not really. It just implies that the evidence on the ground is that the violence was largely instigated by Russian elements.

The big story, which is getting far less attention than it deserves, is that in a competition with some of the highest security ever Russian fans were able to smuggle explosive fireworks into the middle of one of the biggest stadia in France!

Yeah by "RT" you obviously mean the BBC.

Also on the incident in the stands, from those Russian propagandists in ....Singapore?

http://www.straitstimes.com/sport/football/euro-2016-more-marseille-mayhem-as-russian-fans-charge-england-supporters

"A Straits Times reader at the Stade Velodrome also suggested that the Three Lions faithful had started the trouble.

Vishaal Bhardwaj, a 38-year-old teacher, said: "The Russian fans were taunted by the English for large parts of the game and when they equalised the English fans above them hurled abuse and threw things at them. The Russians reacted...

"The English fans were totally disrespectful to the Russians and jeered during the Russian national anthem."

And that's just the incident in the stands. I'm referring to the violence which preceded the match which was

Diplomacy walk-on music
It's the year 2030. Diplomacy has finally taken its rightful place as one of the "big four" global sports, along with soccer, twenty20 cricket, and ultimate frisbee. The first million dollar tournament opens with hordes of screaming fans straining to glimpse you as you stroll to the game board, your walk-on music reverberating through the arena...

What is that music?

Wanted: Thoughtful Discussion
I'm working on a project where I have to document the process of having a discussion with someone whose views I disagree with. The point of the assignment is to examine my own biases, and find ways to address them. So, since I consider myself liberal in most social and economic policy, I'm looking for an open-minded conservative to debate and discuss politics with. If you're interested, shoot me a PM. Thanks.
