Going to be an incredibly hard setup for town if they do not get the cop is what im guessing. With no gunsmith and a ghost that doesnt hit mafia town would need 5 succesfull day lynches to be able to win the game.

Anyways a setup thatll require actual scumhunting work instead of just nuking through the opposition with equalizers should be fun

What's the point of the pitchfork?

Question - the Ghost PM says this:

"A haunted gun (if a gun exists) can be directed to kill anyone if it is ever shot by the owner."

Does this mean that the Ghost *cannot* cause the gun to be fired, but he effectively pre-programs a target, and then when the haunted person tries to use the gun, they shoot that target instead?

I'd just like to bring something up. We didn't have a post count requirement in M19, and I think it actually worked out really well. The voting requirement and player-self-policing seemed to work fine without too much major lurking.

Also, I recommend for the Cell Phone QT that you guys make a new QT every day and night.

@Jamie, you are correct about the gun. It can be reprogrammed to shoot someone, but the ghost cannot actually shoot it.

@Chaqa, the rule about minimum posts was copied from a previous ruleset, but I agree it's kind of pointless. I just took it out.

Re: the gun being pre-programmed... When a ghost chooses the target for the gun's shot, does he become aware of the original target?

re: haunting.... what happens if a haunted person comes into possession of a new item after having been haunted? Does the ghost's ability to use objects change at that point to reflect the new pitchfork-gun-cell situation, or does the ghost-item-use adjudication only happen at the initial haunting?

The ghost is not aware of the owner's original target.
The ghost is told at the start of the day which items he has possession over. So if, for example, a previously haunted person is given a gun in the night, the ghost will be told in the morning that they have a possessed gun in their arsenal.

So more directly, it changes as haunted members get items. It's not just the initial haunting that gives items.

Correct. But the only way a pitchfork or cell phone changes hands is a hypothetical item thief stealing it.
Items die with their owners. The ghost can't use an item after someone dies with it. (Or if an item thief steals it and the item thief isn't haunted)

Seriously though what is the point of the pitchfork? When would suiciding meet your win condition?

Depends on who has it.
If a townie has it and is about to get lynched, they can use it to prove they're innocent and give town another lynch. Or if the game is in Poe mode the pitchfork would help.
If a mafia has it and they're getting lynched they can use it last minute to get a second death in.
Or if a player thinks a ghost has gained control of it to kill someone, a player could use it to stop the ghost from having a kill.
