Question: Can someone explain the point of the "Miller" role? Are they literally just a townie that gives odd reads, or do they have some power I haven't understood?

The millers are an interesting twist. Town that doesn't do much than cause issues for the town, and don't even know they are doing it. Not to mention we have no clue what PRs are actually in play. And a third party to boot. I'd better start a spreadsheet...

Why do I feel like the entire thing is gonna come down to a slip or ridiculous choice by the 3rd party anyway?

##GM Note: The miller wins alongside the town. Miller is sided with the town. A miller does not have to survive till the end to win with the town.

It does seem to make the cop pretty weak with that many potential mechanics to subvert his scans. At any given night, 9/22 players will scan as guilty with potentially 4 of those scans being a false positive. But innocent scans will be 13/22 with only one potential false positive. Plus we don't even know for certain if there is a lawyer/framer or if there's a different combination of the roles. It makes the cop's scans far more reliable at clearing than catching, and I guess that's what the other investigative power roles are meant to balance out, like the watcher+oracle (if they're even in the game too.)

So, Jamiet, you aren't going to play anymore on D1 because you're town? How does that make sense to you? The only time your claim of a VT specific PM and being called a Miller even matters is if you get guilty copscanned. And you can't even be scanned during the day. Millers seem to be purely a cop nerf, not any reason to boycott the first day or anything.

I can't tell if brainbomb is stepping up his game in response to criticism from prior games, or if he is changing his style of play in response to a more complicated and sinister role he's received.
