I'm not happy with my play on this one. The first time I'd been a vanilla townie, and I found it surprisingly hard. Putting on an act, when you've got a role to hide, I actually found easier. Like in the last game few people had me pinned down as cult leader until nearly the end. This time I can see why some people thought I was scummy. It didn't help that I found Krellin really hard to read. Krellin played well, Brainbomb too, actually.

Town really should have lynched Captainmeme. Things might have gone differently if we'd done that.

I don't know if you guys are interested, but I know of a better (and if not better than simply more balanced/fun than any random setup that someone has created) mafia game called Witchhunt.

It's pretty popular, everyone has a role and its very balanced, so fun for all. The fun part is that mafia can actually have any role (as in there are no "mafia" roles and "town" roles (except for the cop/priest) the alignments and roles are done separately).

Its pretty great, heres a link to the rules, i'll be happy to run a game if there is interest in this sort of thing.

Seems at least some people want to play? Don't know if theres an order to how/when people run games, but if not I can potentially start signups whenever.

Isnt there usually a sign up thread posted within a few days of a game end? theres probably alot of people anxious to leap back into action, DemonRHK, y2k, plus, I know Jamiet is always hungry to play. I'm sure Flum is itchin to defend his undefeated record.

And of course Balki, Balki is probably hoping theres some rules technicality lol. ;)

M18 - bo_sox, wjessop (sometime later this month)
M19 - Chaqa, vashta (sometime in April maybe?)
M20- brainbomb, yoyo, fluminator (sometime in May-June)
M21- Jamiet
M22- yoyo
M23- ?
M24 -?

You might be able to jump in with one of those GM teams, as your idea looks quite fun. Or perhaps you will inspire one of the next two GM squads to give that a serious look.

Sure! Id be happy for anyone to use that idea. If they want/need help with rules/modding I'd be glad to help too, I've played more than a few iterations of it on another forum (trying to get it into its most balanced form).

For those who don't want to read the whole rules, it's basically a no flip variant of Mafia, so when people die who they are is not revealed in game thread. Also, the dead players still have vital actions to complete once dead (so game never ends prematurely for the unlucky person who dies first). Everyone has a power role, so there are no vanilla towns who are sad about not being able to have a power. Lots of variations because Mafia can actually have any of the roles in the set.

Overall, really fun variant. Highly recommend!

That would certainly spice things up a bit. it is pretty boring for the dead people in a game of this type that goes on for 2+ weeks.

If you have a brilliant scheme never tried before but one that you are 100.1% sure will find scum, don't do it.

Is anyone interested in a in between game hosted off site? usually the layover between games is long to avoid burnout, sometimes as much as a month. If anyone was looking to have some fun it wouldnt count towards the official scoresheets or anything.
