Karl Marx's predictions about wages
If I under correctly Karl Marx predicted that workers wages would fall, over time, until the workers would have no choice but to overthrow the system. Can anyone tell in which book/essay he actually made this prediction?

What I don't like about Diplomacy
Is that this is a zero-sum game. In order to win, you have to make other players lose. I, as an entrepreneur, libertarian and capitalist, find it particularly hard to see the behavior of people when they think they are playing a zero-sum game. Maybe this is why I take human behavior in the game so hard.

Voting Strategy
With the current political landscape, I am facing the very real possibility of the two main candidates being, in my opinion, pretty awful. I have had numerous discussions with friends over the strategy, but I bring it to you. Is it worth it to vote on principle? Should I vote third party if I think they are the best candidate? Or do I vote for the lesser of two evils among the big two?

not ready setting
Hello, I'm a newbie here. I am curious. If I put in some orders, save them and click the ready button, my orders are in and everything is great. Later, I go and click not ready. My previous orders were in and now I am changing some of them. I fail to clock watch and the time to make my moves expires. Does the software progress with my first set of orders? Or does the software cause my power to go into Civil Disorder.

My mom is creating a recipe book that is going to be published, and she came to a point where she didn't know weather to capitalize as part of the title: "More Than, or Less Than" or not "more than, or less than"

RECLAIM THE NIGHT
Women should feel and be safe walking in the streets every day and night. Sadly, this just isn't the case, all across the world. But once a year UK feminist groups hold a Reclaim the Night march across our cities. Tonight is that night, reclaiming the night for our mums, sisters, daughters, family and friends that just happen to be women.

Roman's never recorded anyone named Jesus being crucified
For an empire which was renowned for record keeping; it always struck me as odd that nobody named Jesus was ever Crucified. I asked my Mormon girlfriend once and they told me it was because Romans were afraid to let the truth get out that they had killed the son of God.

"The first cause argument, which I'm sure that you are aware of, proves that God exists."

If god is changeless and timeless, then it cannot be a causal agent. Causation is temporal and requires change. There must be a god at time A that is in a different condition than at time B for god to have caused anything to happen. It's a logical impossibility.

"If it's simply a matter of message distortion then Christianity did a terrible job of explaining itself."

To be fair, it had 300-odd years to get wrapped around the politics of the region. Telephone before telephones.

You would think that somewhere in that 300 year period it would have been a force for class struggle and/or redistribution of wealth unless it was "corrupted" from the first minute of existence.

God is the eternal stimulus to the simultaneous realities. All of the existing events of the universe have happened in the past and will happen again, and they also are all occurring right now. To say there was a beginning to it all is to look at the universe through your extant eyes. It does make sense that one would focus on their extant reality, though, as that is what they in these eyes and body experience.

I swear I'm sober.
Lethologica (203 D)

One would think that, Putin33. But history is complicated. I'm very reluctant to make such extrapolations without extensive background study.

The problem with the notion that Jesus crucified, died, and rose again is that the time of year they chose to celebrate this sequence of events coincides with Passover. It all feels an awful lot like people just wanted to give a big fuck you to Judaism.
I dont know if Jesus was real, but I know his followers to this day still havent read the messages he espoused. Jesus was not going around harping about tax cuts for the wealthy or child labor slavery. Jesus would not be taking selfies. Jesus would not be playing webdip either.
People keep quoting this scholar, and that scholar the problem is when all you ever quote is biblical scholars, of course Jesus is gonna seem real. They are scholars of the bible, i'd be shocked if these people ever even looked up an article about the bhavagad gita, confuscius, shinto, tao te ching, tibetan book of the dead, or even the talmud.

Point is, don't quote me a bunch of bible thumpers, to prove a key point about the bible. thats like asking Tom Cruise to give a fair assessment of the legitimacy of Scientology.

I'm referring to this post in particular, but there are others of like quality: "I mean some white guy with a beard. Its stupid. He had to be muslim. Christ was a Parthian in appearance."

Well first of all there were no Muslims in Jesus' day, and second, Muslim is not an ethnicity--It's a religion.

And why do people think all Middle Easterners are brown?? Abraham came from Ur of the Chaldees. Chaldeans are Caucasian and as white as northern Europeans. That said, Jesus' genealogy is well known and included other ethnicities as well, including Ruth the Moabite. To sum up, we don't know what color Jesus was, and guess what--It doesn't matter one bit. If white people want to think of him as white, "one of us," and black people want to think of him as black, "one of us!" and brown people... well you get my drift. It's perfectly OK. Certainly he was outdoors a lot, so he would at least have been very tan, but... it... doesn't... matter. What matters is that he was Jewish, and fulfilled the prophecies of a savior that would come to all people everywhere through God's chosen people, the Jews. And what matters now is whether you close your heart and mind to his existence or whether you seek him and transform your life completely, and then live forever. That's what matters. That's all that matters.

The argument that Jesus was any different than Criss Angel is still up for debate. Feign Death isnt even that high level of a Magic User spell technically. And besides do we have documents showing any naysayers. Turning water to wine, walking on water. Food coloring, vinegar and CGI could explain those things.

Actually, i would not want to be close to any god which gave me the capacity to reason, knowing it would become an atheist. And then decides to punish me for that.

Fuck that God, if it exists, then it does not deserve to be worshipped. And those who worship it are very sad and dangerous.

Really Mujus, using fear as a weapon to convert people. You disgust me.

I Demand a Refund
I paid for a car wash after I got gas at Shell this evening but their wash was out of service. I asked for a refund and was told that it wasn't their fault that the wash was closed and that I should come back some other time when it's open and use the code then.

I'm curious to see what other stupid things you all should but can't get a refund for because of jackass cashiers.
