Espi, you would have been able to help if you hadn't been tunneled so damn hard the whole time. Seriously, I understand that I knew his role because of mine, but was it thaaaat hard to figure out that Espi was town? There were two people crumbing/staunchly defending him and plenty of controversy surrounding him between a few select players (which you wouldn't get with mafia; they wouldn't link themselves to their partners), which basically indicates a town-led discussion. Mafia would have been at least mulling a bandwagon against their teammate. Even Espi's "slips" weren't scumslips (and neither was Balki's; the fact that three townies ran with that case is amazing). I never understood the case and I thought that if anyone was gonna clear themselves, he was the guy.
I also don't get the argument that Yoyo is the town MVP (and Yoyo, please don't take that to mean you didn't play well, because you did). I understand that he exposed Jeff and cleared Espi, but, as I said before, Espi should have been townread already. Getting the scan on Jeff was a good read on a moderately hidden/lurkish player, obviously, but I don't see that as the make-or-break point in the game. The town MVPs had to be the two that put the puzzle together *after* that report came to light, particularly without another confirmed townie, and maybe Espi in that group as well for shifting the attention in that direction rather than tunneling back on ND, which is what most inexperienced (and some experienced) townies would have done in that situation. People lust for power, and he finally had it, but he used it responsibly rather than angrily, and I think you all should be more appreciative of that than you have been thus far, because, frankly, I had put my money in the bank that he would do exactly that, and took a flight to Boston without thinking there was any chance I'd get lynched on the day that I did. Had Espi tunneled back against ND, the ND-Lucland scumteam I proposed would have been that much more plausible and I think that the game could have gone the other direction easily.
Doesn't mean Yoyo's report wasn't important and that it didn't give the town the boost they needed, but it didn't win the town the game - ND, Espi, and Prado did by rallying together in those last few days and putting the old fights that led to three straight (really bad) mislynches behind them rather than going in the same direction that put the town so far behind.
