I can't join this time, but I love this idea!

Are you planning to publish the press, too?

I would play, but I'm going to Europe. When I get back, I would love to be a part of this. End of the month.

We tried this once, resulting in gameID=91245. It was a great game, and lots of alliances made, alliances broken :) However, we never got around to publishing the press.

So, please do this, and publish all the press. It'll be great fun! I can't play, sadly, because I'm wrapped up in too many games right now.

Was that press really never published, bas? I still have my full disclosure game sitting in a pdf somewhere.

I think half of us sent our press to Tru Ninja, but he never received it all. Some of the players have left the site by now, so it's unlikely we'll ever get it put together.

I asked Tru Ninja once if he could use special mod powers to obtain the press, but apparently you have to be super-mod for that :)

Ah, goldfinger! You were in that full disclosure game we played a while back. You were Turkey, I was France, you somehow got Russia to sail his fleet into Portugal while you were taking Moscow. It was epic.

Anyway, we never managed to collect the press from that game together and publish it as we intended to do. Do you have special mod powers to get all the press together? If you could, I'd be really happy to put together some readable format so the whole site can enjoy our game and see what went on behind the scenes.

Good lord that looks like it was a fun game. I had completely forgotten about it. I did my tried and true Turkey tactic - go balls to the wall against Russia while secretly conspiring to Jugg with him the whole time.

I did not think of that when starting to recruit, but yes, I will publish press if all players agree.

Thanks for the hard sell Sevyas, but I'll have to sit this one out.

I'm currently waiting on a game that PW has been organising to start - it's a similar (but different) idea- which everyone will hear about when it happens.

After the leagues are over, I'll have more time for games too- I'll make sure to shoot you a PM.

Everyone, please don't forget to make use of the notes tab as often as possible - I'll try to put in my thoughts there every turn. At the end of the game, there will be an EOG thread where we will publish the press as well.

Can you post the gameID here for interested spectators too?

Do you have any recommendations on how to use the notes section? Maybe a standardized approach will help with expectations and the later readability.

I have not much experience with EOGs, but I intend to whrite a short note about my map analysis + the reasons for giving the orders I choose to enter every turn into the notes section.
If anyone with more EOG-experience could offer some help ...

Here are some suggestions for things you could put in your notes:

* Offers you receive, and what you think of them
* Offers you give, and why you're giving them
* Offers you accept and why you're accepting them
* What your overall plan is
* Stabs you're considering doing (whether you make them or not)
* Stabs you're worried about
* How trustworthy/stable/strong/weak the other players seem

Oh! And, reading through the last full disclosure game, it's not always clear whether people were lying when they don't follow through, or if circumstances just changed. So, notes on whether you intend to do what you're saying would be super interesting:

"Told Germany I'm forcing Burgundy, but it's not true. I just don't want him to move there."
or
"Told France he can have Belgium. If he's not in Burgundy, I plan to follow through on that."

ok, so basically make a new heading on the notes section per turn.

That's what I was intending. Sort of like a "captain's log" that we hear at the beginnings and endings of star trek
