How to get a random country ?
I have 6 games right now on this site, with France (3), Italy (2) and austria (1). Just stepped out of 2 other games simply because i got every time France. There was no preselection. It is simply getting boring.

The Key
The key lepanto, of course.

Why are people so belligerent toward a key lepanto? I am yet to find a player that is actually open and receptive to it. Speaking from Austria's perspective, do Italian players simply not have the willpower not to stab?

Average iqs
I'm curious about what the average Web dipper iq is. Mine is over 9000, however, as I would be an outlier I will just go with my iq as being 135. Please post.

Mine is not quite as high but atleast in the 5000-7000 range. But I to will say that it is 135 so as to not skew the data.

I think I'm actually closer to 10,000, but I haven't been tested in a few years, so it's probably a little higher by now.

Fluminator (1500 D)

I learned something interesting from a friend the other day and thought I'd share.
There are 3 main types of quotients. IQ, PQ, and EQ
IQ is intelligence quotient. (Probably the most well known one.)
PQ is practical quotient. (creativity, common sense, etc.)
EQ is empathy quotient. (catching social queues, being a people person, etc.)

IQ is the easiest to test so that's probably why it's the most common.
racast5 (100 D)
12 Feb 15 UTC
Most IQ tests are meaningless. There are no 'scientifically accurate' online tests. The only marginally 'scientifically accurate' test has to comepleted in person by a trained test administrator. On top of that, IQ was never meant to be used as a measure of intelligence above average (as stated by the tests creator). It was developed as a diagnostic tool for children with mental disabilities.

My brother scored consistently between 125 and 128. He finished university a year and a half earlier, did land a job at JP Morgan during the outbreak of Euro crisis due to his excellent work in internships and despite his C-grades. Me and my other brother scored much higher on the same tests, but are still hanging around in academia… so much for IQ tests.

Who here thinks that IQ is a useful measure of how good you will be at diplomacy? As opposed to some combination of IQ, EQ and PQ, along with the Effort Rating i've just made up to correct for lazyness...
Pete U (293 D)

IQ is a useful measure of how good you are at answering IQ test questions on a given day. For most people, that's about it
Octavious (2732 D)
12 Feb 15 UTC
As much as IQ test bashing is popular, I feel it has gone too far the other way. It is a legitimate measure of a variety of things. I doubt there are many doctors of physics or medicine, for example, with low IQs. MENSA, the high IQ dating agency and self appreciation society, have been quite successful in their use of it.
X3n0n (216 D)
12 Feb 15 UTC
IQ is a good predictor for many things in life, ceteris paribus. But not all things are equal.
Tergem (100 D)
12 Feb 15 UTC
I always thought that IQs were most useful when they revealed that one had a low score in certain fields (comparative or actual), rather than a high one. But then again I prefer to know where one's weaknesses lie rather than one's strengths.

For the purposes of your question, I've taken a few non-online IQ tests, they ranged from 121-131. So we, or at least those who post on the forums here, tend to be above average, if you don't worry about those who don't post on the forums, those who are lying, or the self-selection bias present in your query.

When I was 20 or so I got an IQ self-test book put out by Mensa, an impulse buy at the cash register in a bookstore. It was fairly involved, in two parts, multiple sections in each part. You were supposed to take the average of your two scores to give a more accurate result. I got 136 or 138 in part A and never got around to taking part B.

When I was 30 or so I found the book again at the bottom of a closet and thought I'd see how a decade of moderate drinking, excessive pot smoking, and occasional tripping on LSD and shrooms had affected my IQ. Scored the exact same in part B. Take that, moralists and prohibitionists!

Now I'm 40, haven't tripped in ages, don't smoke as much weed - but I drink a lot more. Maybe I should take another one, see what demon alcohol has done to the old brain...

Like natural selection, ethanol culls the weak and under-perfoming neurons from the herd in your brain. Your IQ should improve significantly. Continue your intellect strengthening crusade my friend.

Who's Got the Sexist Accents? Most of Us Here, That's Who (Apparently)
https://www.yahoo.com/travel/which-country-has-the-sexiest-accent-110641864972.html I like that just generic "British" and "American" accents are #1 and #2...because of course Brooklynites, Cajuns, Angelinos and Minnesotans (doncha know!) sound completely the same...as do *insert topical English counterparts. But hey, on the bright side, US and UK Webdippers...we've got the sexiest accents around (not you Canadian players, though...not even in the Top 10, eh?) :p
