Oh good lord, do we really have to get all "moral high ground" every time a mod slips up? jamie you know I see eye to eye with you on most issues, but just get over it man.

Jamie was just telling KingC what happened. I think we are all over it now. But it was a bit of a deal considering we can't mute mods, making that threat potentially unbearable to anyone. I had you muted. I have maplelaugh muted. But if a mod decided to harass me, I couldn't mute them.

That said, jmo had a reason for threatening that (I don't believe he ever intended to carry it out) and that was to make the same point I am making, but to get people complaining to Kestas about it. It worked. I commend him in the end for it.

I suppose, I guess i just didn't like how I perceived the tone. I also agree with you both, in principle, that mods have a higher standard, I just don't care enough to get all outraged about it.

^and that is why JMO did it. He wanted people to get outraged and write Kestas. You do a disservice to the site and the community when you "just don't care enough".

Well, Draug, from my conversation with jmo, I don't think that's really the case. I would post the PM here, but I'll continue my tradition of dis-serving the community by not giving enough of a fuck to do so :)

I had my own chat with JMO and what I indicate here is what I got from it. So one of us was deceived by JMO or is outright lying. I may have been deceived, but I'm not lying.

Actually, I reread what he told me and it is consistent with what you are saying. Quite likely I misunderstood him the first time.
