Which dumbass thought we should call everyone who isn't white "People of Colour"?
1. Black isn't a colour.
2. White is all colours.
3. White people change colour when cold, ashamed, hot, sick, dead, and they're born pretty red. Black people stay black.
"People of colour" is probably the most offensive way to call black people, right before "nigger".

Oh Rand Paul...You Make Me Laugh...
http://news.yahoo.com/rand-paul-bill-clinton-war-on-women-175239980.html That was 15 YEARS AGO. Whether or not there's a "War on Women" today (discrimination? Yes. A war? Frankly, after the "War on Drugs," and "War on Christmas," I'm pretty damn suspicious of "War on __" statements) or not...it's the GOP's PR faux paus NOW that lead to Mitt Romney losing that electorate by 11%...CLINTON *WAS* WRONG...but that doesn't mean your party's any better NOW.

I never said anything about force. If a CEO did the exact same thing to an intern you'd say it was coerced because of patriarchy and the imbalance of power. But since it's Bill Clinton he gets a pass and is still allowed in polite company. It's rank hypocrisy.

"Ah, it was the margin with women, not the general election. Not clear in the OP."

He said "Mitt Romney losing that electorate by 11%." "That" her clearly refers to women. Don't blame others for your issues with reading comprehension. It makes you look petty. Adults admit their mistakes and move on.

"Republicans are incessantly and often unfairly whacked with the idea that they hate hate hate women."
How can you argue that the assertion is unfair? What have republicans been accused of doing that they haven't done? It's true that there are many Republicans (both politicians and voters) who have fair views on these issues, but when the agenda being pushed by the party is actively anti-woman, there's really no argument to be made in their favor on that point, as is evidenced by the fact that they're using a Democrat's personal issues from over 10 years ago as their defense.
Putin33 (111 D)
27 Jan 14 UTC
You said *made an intern blow him*. That means force. You also called him a rapist. You then talk about coercion. You're a liar.

And as I thought, your definition of coercion is any sexual encounter between a politician you hate and somebody else.
Invictus (240 D)
27 Jan 14 UTC
(+2)
I did admit by mistake. The "ah."

It's not a defense, it's pointing out the hypocrisy. A Republican says something boneheaded about rape and the sky is falling, a Democratic president actually has a history of harming women and he's treated as a secular saint. And you're already taking as given that the GOP is anti-women. It's pro-life, and unrestricted access to abortion is being cloaked in the term "women's health" by Democrats to make it look like Republicans hate hate hate women. Opposing abortion =/= hating women. They still got 44%. It's not like they're yelling Kinder, Kueche, Kirche.
Putin33 (111 D)
27 Jan 14 UTC
The Akins line about rape and pregnancy was widely disseminated among conservative circles prior to him making the comment. He just took the fall for what was already widely believed. And the GOP has waged a jihad against women's health clinics for the past half decade, wanted to force women to undergo transvaginal ultra-sounds, and won't even permit a rape or incest exception in their platform.

And again you have no proof whatsoever about Clinton harming women. You're just running with this smear because you've got nothing else.
Invictus (240 D)
27 Jan 14 UTC
See? "Women's health clinic" as euphemism for abortion clinic.
Putin33 (111 D)
27 Jan 14 UTC
Planned Parenthood clinics provide cancer screenings and pap smears, among other health services. So yes, they are women's health clinics. Not surprising that you're completely ignorant but yet side with the people who want to shut them down.
Invictus (240 D)

A pizza parlor that also sells pretzels is still a pizza parlor.
Putin33 (111 D)
27 Jan 14 UTC
It's a bad day for the Fox & Friends crowd today. You all are just completely off your game. Abortion services are 3% of what planned parenthood clinics do. But since you've proven incapable of discerning truth from rightwing propaganda today, please continue advocating for the shut down of clinics that provide basic medical services to the underprivileged because of a particular procedure they happen to provide.

ghug (5068 D(B))
27 Jan 14 UTC
"A pizza parlor that also sells pretzels is still a pizza parlor."

And a pizza parlor that sells salads and pastas is an Italian restaurant. Quality line of argumentation there.

The primary purpose of women's health clinics isn't abortion, it's women's health. Saying otherwise shows that you're seeing them through your political lens rather than just looking at them for what they are.

You can be pro-life without taking the sexism to the extreme the GOP does. Do you really not see that?
Invictus (240 D)
27 Jan 14 UTC
(+1)
I don't see sexism in the extreme. I see an extremely successful propaganda campaign by Democrats. If you swap out "abortion" for "women's health" all the time then you win. People like women's health. Everyone wants women to be healthy. People don't really like abortion, even if they are pro-choice. It's called "pro-choice" and not "pro-abortion" for a reason. By misrepresenting one thing as the other the Republicans are made to look much worse than they are.
Invictus (240 D)
27 Jan 14 UTC

Do you really think, ghug, that any Republican would have a problem with these clinics if they provided every service they do now but for abortions? Framing this a "women's health" issue full stop is dishonest.
ghug (5068 D(B))
27 Jan 14 UTC
I think that they would ignore them for the most part, but because they do provide abortions they're attacked as a whole because attacking abortions themselves hasn't worked.
Invictus (240 D)
27 Jan 14 UTC
What? That makes no sense.
Putin33 (111 D)
27 Jan 14 UTC
Oh the irony of Invictus calling people dishonest when he's labeling women's health clinics abortion clinics. No, Invictus, framking this as an attack on abortion clinics when you're shutting down low-income healthcare providers is full stop dishonest.
Putin33 (111 D)
27 Jan 14 UTC
"Do you really think, ghug, that any Republican would have a problem with these clinics if they provided every service they do now but for abortions? "

These are the same people who said HPV vaccine causes retardation. So yes. Your party is wholly hateful towards women. None of your spin doctoring will change that. Why don't you work for change internally instead of whining about Democrats "propaganda".
Putin33 (111 D)
27 Jan 14 UTC
"I don't see sexism in the extreme"

Which is why you're a rightwing fanatic and any effort to portray yourself as some kind of reasonable conservative is just a ruse.
Invictus (240 D)
27 Jan 14 UTC
If it performs abortions, it's an abortion clinic. Saying otherwise is dishonest.

For what it's worth I'm not one of these absolutists. I think the system we have today, where abortions are more or less allowed on demand in the early stages of pregnancy and then further restrictions are imposed as the child develops more, is about the right policy compromise. What I'm talking about here is how it's absurd and dishonest to say holding a position of anything less than abortion on demand right up until birth as "hating women" which is what Democrats have successfully pushed in recent years.

My pal Bill Clinton would even only say "safe, legal, and rare."
ghug (5068 D(B))
27 Jan 14 UTC
(+1)
It makes perfect sense. Women's health clinics that preform abortions are allowed to do so. Republicans can't directly stop them, so instead they use their power to defund them and make things extremely difficult for their patients. It's dishonest, it's low, and it's unfair to women. That's really all there is to it.
Putin33 (111 D)
27 Jan 14 UTC
"What I'm talking about here is how it's absurd and dishonest to say holding a position of anything less than abortion on demand right up until birth as "hating women" which is what Democrats have successfully pushed in recent years."

The position the GOP is pushing is no abortion whatsoever, no rape exceptions. No nothing. And humiliating intimidation to whoever tries to get help at a clinic. They've literally shut down all clinics but one in a bunch of states. Your side is making it impossible for people to safe & legal abortions, and you reserve your ire for the Democrats when there's been an avalanche of restrictions on abortion across the country. My state has a heartbeat bill for christ sake, and Texas just kept a dead woman alive to literally be an incubator to a non-viable fetus.

To portray yourself as an abortion moderate is completely dishonest.
Invictus (240 D)
27 Jan 14 UTC
Did I ever say I supported the actions of closing the clinics? I've just been talking about how the movement against them comes from opposition to abortion, not opposition to "women's health." If you wanna knock the GOP for being kooky on abortion have at it, but be honest on what you're hitting them on. It's on abortion, not the general health of half the population.
Putin33 (111 D)
27 Jan 14 UTC
Except your party has been busy making it harder for women to get contraception, excluded women from participating on a panel on women's health, have perpetuated lies about the HPV vaccine, claimed that women are "sluts" for even wanting access to contraception, among many other things not specifically related to abortion, so you're full of it.

And that they're willing to shut down clinics that provide cancer screenings because of their jihad against abortion doesn't indicate any kind of respect for women's health.
Gunfighter06 (224 D)
27 Jan 14 UTC
Senator Paul was off the mark. Sure, there is a lot of left-wing propaganda about an alleged "war on women" which is an outright lie, but that wasn't an excuse to bring up Clinton.

But let's be honest for a moment. Clinton and Bush should have been impeached. Obama should be impeached. The People of the United States really need to insist on using the process of impeachment more often. When the President breaks the law, he should be forcibly removed from office posthaste.
Putin33 (111 D)
27 Jan 14 UTC
And your portrayal of the issue as portraying anything less than unlimited access to abortion as hating women is deeply deeply deeply dishonest. 92 invasive abortion restrictions were passed in 2011 alone, and as I said, and you repeatedly ignore, your party platform doesn't even accept a rape exception. Your party is wholly extreme on abortion, and you at best, don't care, and at worst, are cheering them on.
Gunfighter06 (224 D)
27 Jan 14 UTC
@ Putin33

The entirety of the GOP and many independents regard fetuses as humans. Total opposition to abortion isn't extreme, so stop pretending that it is.

"Hating women" Ohhhhhh......such harsh language.

Oh yes....yes yes yes.....those damned leftists have figured it out. REpublicans *hate* women. Especially all the Female Republicans just *hate* women!!

We **especially** hate the 50% of women that are killed in the womb....we hate those damned female fetuses MOST of all....

**

Isn't it ironic when Demon-crats cry out for women's rights, while they actively call for the *murder* of *millions* of women....
Putin33 (111 D)
27 Jan 14 UTC
No they don't. They discovered this issue in the 1980s as a wedge election issue to gain the Catholic vote. Evangelicals and ordinary Republicans didn't even oppose abortion until then. In fact it was a *Republican appointed Court* that implemented Roe v Wade on a 7-2 vote, and the strongest supporters of abortion rights in 1972 were Republicans. So this is all a sham.
krellin (80 DX)
27 Jan 14 UTC

Blah blah blah....oh yes, Putin knows all about all....blah blah blah. It's all a sham....that's right, you got us. It isn't about murder at all.

In fact, most Republicans secretly agree with Obamacare because the Supremes - arguably a "conservative" court - said it was okeydokey.

Awwwww....Puttyboy....you got us all figured out.

It's funny how, in Putttyboys static world, no opinion can ever changed as people become educated.

That's why, true to the ancient philosphies that Puttyboy loves, he still thinks man-boy love -- as it was practiced in the olden days before people became more enlightened -- is a great thing, and Puttyboy practices man-boy love whenever possible.
krellin (80 DX)
27 Jan 14 UTC
(+2)
Also, Putin also admits that the Demon-crats really don't believe in women's right either....or letting all those damned uppity N******s free....because, after all, it was only rather recently in history that Demon-crats found their love of women's rights and freedom for the darkies. Hell, if it wasn't for Republicans, the Demoncrats could still blissfully keep a darky to do their chores (kind of like Putty keep his boys in the closet for his man-boy time)

Is Communism a form of religious belief, where instead of seeing God’s hand at work in all things, one sees the class struggle? When historical events are re-interpreted from a Communist viewpoint in a discussion with non-Communists, is the effect the same as when believers re-interpret historical events as divine intervention, in a discussion with atheists?
